The chefs were absolutely divine, especially John and Nadege. They were true culinary masters and Nadege's final Friday night meal was an absolute perfect send-off for our stay, under the twinkling lights and the green grape arbor!

Yvan was a highlight of our visit. This was our second time with Only Provence and we are very happy with the service.

We had Chef Sophie prepare two casual dinners for us. The food was very good and Chef Sophie and her assistant were very pleasant. One might argue that the cost may be a bit on the higher side but the dinners certainly added to our enjoyment.

Our first evening was a pure delight, since Yvan came to give us a cooking course. My children are still raving about the dessert! My favourite was the starter - and the best is that we go to take the recipes home with us to be used over and over and over again. I would not give that a miss, if I were to go again.

Chef Julien prepared a casual lunch for our party of 8, and it was truly divine! He was prompt, friendly, and offered a delicious three-course meal that we will not soon forget. I was amazed that this was in fact his casual menu - Each dish was not only tasty, but also beautifully arranged and set in perfect harmony one after the other. The meal was timed quite well, starting with a light asparagus salad, followed by a gorgeous fish dish (I wish I could replicate myself), and finishing with a perfectly balanced dessert of strawberry soup and handmade pastry and ice-cream. Nothing felt rushed; we enjoyed every morsel of this scrumptious meal and every moment shared together. Chef Julien left the kitchen spotless as we finished our coffees in quiet enjoyment. It is a memory we will hold dear for a lifetime, and an experience I would highly recommend. It is worth every penny - Five stars for Chef Julien.

We had Yvan come for a cooking class. He was fantastic. I would highly recommend him. He gave an excellent class with the right amount of expertise, wit & Gallic charm. We had a thoroughly entertaining evening and learned a lot. The food was great, too!

Out of this world… our meal with Marie was one of the best moments of our week at Mas de Gancel. It was clear that she loves all that is seasonal, wth an emphasis on vegetables. Damian our chef for one night was awesome

We had Chef Ivan and his assistant Andre cater for a dinner party for 10 of us. The food was absolutely delicious and highlighted local produce and recipes. They were the friendliest and most professional team and I can not recommend them highly enough.

Chef Yvan was good - food was excellent, he was fine but I got the sense he wanted to get in and out as soon as possible. Nothing major and we had a good night but that was my sense.

Mas du Rougadou was extraordinary and the chef we had come to the house was exemplary.

I wanted to let you know how pleased my family was with Chef Damien's service during our stay at Mas des Voyageurs. He arrived as planned and very quickly and efficiently went into action. The table setting and ambiance was charming. Our meal was divine! Everyone was delighted and so pleased. Chef Damien really was superb and we highly recommend him to any of your guests. Chef Yvan is very highly recommended as he prepared a wonderful gourmet dinner of stuffed zucchini flowers, lamb Provencal, and freshly made sorbet. Made a few special modifications for the children. Unobtrusive, friendly, served and cleaned up leaving the kitchen spotless.

Chef Ronald was a treat. Having done personal cooking myself, I appreciate the effort he put into making it personal and fun. Adapting the menu to our preferences was very considerate and the food itself was outstanding. Only wish was that he would have left some of leftovers as we would have enjoyed having them available the evening before we departed.

Really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to returning again in the future.

I don't even know how to explain how perfect everything was. The home, the chef, the team at Only Provence provides a perfect setting for a wonderful vacation.

Chef Yvan is a gifted cook. He made some of the best meals we had during our stay and was a lovely person. We definitely hope to have him cook for us on our next stay with Only Provence.

Many thanks for again assisting us with the arranging of having Chef Damian and Lisa provide us with what was an enjoyable, entertaining and most special experience on June 7th. Everything was perfect and beyond expectations. Our experience exceeded all expectations. first of all, we were delayed at least 4 hours from the States and missed our initial train. When we arrived in Avignon our cars weren't ready but we took what they had and raced to Gigondas. By the time we arrived a couples hours later, jet lagged and ready to drop, the meal was nearly ready. And what a meal it was. Yves brought over some wine from Domaine Santa Duc and we paired it with our dinner. Both were fabulous!
During the meal, our family peppered him with questions on food and food preparation which he answered with patience and brevity. We had so much fun, we'd highly recommend him. At the end of the trip, everyone said this meal was their absolute favorite of the whole trip.

Chef Yvan is a gifted cook. He made some of the best meals we had during our stay and was a lovely person. We definitely hope to have him cook for us on our next stay with Only Provence.

We engaged Chef Gerald for a cooking class on our third night. Chef Gerald was personable, patient and humorous as he taught all of us his techniques for Provencal cooking with fresh ingredients. Chef David was extraordinarily good, Not only his food and presentation, but his teaching skills as he prepared the dinner. His English is more than adequate. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed having Sophie come and cook for us one evening. The food she prepared was simple, delicious and made for a very special evening. 4.5 stars

We had the choice of amazing chefs and tour guide to enhance a perfect stay!

Had a special celebration in August with Chef Gerald cooking us a meal. Taken unawares - had not expected the food to be of such a high standard - absolutely delicious! Menus for the children aimed right. He concurred that the best 'cave' was that of Chateau la Canorgue. Maybe the chef might advise on wine beforehand / or bring some along?

We treated ourselves to two chef experiences, the first prepared a delicious in home meal (Chef David). Everything was great. David was capable and required no support from us. Even though he had never been to the house he brought or found everything he needed. His clean-up was impeccable.

Chef Yvan came to teach a cooking class and prepare a meal. Yvan was a lot of fun. However our ability to really learn or replicate the meal was limited given that nothing was printed and measurements etc. are different in the U.S. It would have been great to get a copy of the recipes that could be converted into U.S. measurements. That said, we all had fun in the kitchen with Yvan and the meal was very good. Yvan brought all of his supplies and left the kitchen spotless. He was really pleasant and fun to talk to.

I would strongly recommend our chef for two nights, Chef Sophie. She was great.

We have had spectacular meals here in Provence, and we have had several truly spectacular chefs... but our entire family has voted YOU as the best of the best!
Everyone has favorite menus and choices, but my very own favorite is your stew which is not like ant stew I've ever had. It is truly food for the gods.

Chef Veronique was delightful. Very sweet and very nice. Made big effort.

Chef Ronald meet us in Aix en Provence to select a menu and buy provisions. He came to our home, taught a cooking class, cooked our dinner and used the homes furnishing to provide an amazing in home meal. It was the highlight of our week.

Sophie and Valerie did a great job. I found it challenging ahead of time with the menu planning because, since we were a family with wide-spread ages, and even though I had asked for family friendly meals, some of the suggestions were not compatible with my ideas. However, we sorted it out via emails, not always easy because of the two languages. In the end, the two women proved infinitely flexible, often cooking something extra for the younger children. They created everything from scratch, using all the wonderful local produce, and worked ceaselessly every afternoon to prepare, serve, and clean up after dinner. They wouldn’t even allow us to help clear the table after dinner. In addition, they were most pleasant. We enjoyed their presence in the kitchen and chatting with them about culinary subjects. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Our chef on 8/15 was WONDERFUL. His girlfriend came with him and did such a lovely job of setting the table and serving the food. All the dishes Frank made were delicious and both of them were very friendly and accommodating.

Chef Yvan exceeded all expectations and is highly recommended. He cooked a four course meal for us on three different occasions and every dish was beyond delicious. ??

Chef Gerald prepared a wonderful meal for us. He gave us clear instructions on how to do simple final preparation to enjoy the cold tomato soup, leg of lamb, and fruit tarte. The portions were plentiful--we actually had leftovers that we were able to enjoy.

We had a wonderful gourmet meal prepared by Chef Yvan – saffron foam over roasted legumes, pan roasted Cobia over a delicate ravioli d’aubergines – amazing!

Chef Gérald performed a feat of magic in our house kitchen that still has me in awe as I write - an absolute gem, kind, funny, and a truly excellent chef.

Chef Gerald's visit was a highlight. He was so much fun and cooked us a delicious sea bass dinner.

My fourteen year old nephew saw Chef Youcef, the day after he prepared and gave us a cooking lesson, when taking the market tour with Jane Satow. There he sat next to Youcef and asked him about the preparation of his chocolate dessert as he was coming home that night to prepare this just like Youcef did the night before. His dishes were served with beautiful design and the taste only added to our love of the local produce and spices.

Chef Yvann provided scrumptious meals and wonderful instructions for adults as well as the kids.

Sophie and Fredric were fantastic. The meals were delicious and added to the already idyllic atmosphere in Provence.
We especially enjoyed the goat cheese and zuccini tart, the provencal stew, and the chicken tajine with apricots and almonts.
The children loved the meals Sophie prepared — especially the deserts.

A highlight of our stay in Provence was the meal prepared and served by Chef Yvan! The meal started with a wonderful vegetable bouillabaisse that was filled with flavorful oven roasted veggies topped with a rich whipped foam broth. That tasty starter was followed by a perfectly cooked pork loin with a wonderful reduction sauce all on top of a carrot mousseline. It looked, smelled and tasted incredible. A dessert of chocolate lava cake topped with the most intense raspberry sorbet and fresh raspberries was by far the best dessert we had in France! We highly recommend Chef Yvan for a tasty, enjoyable and memorable evening.

We did have Chef David come in and prepare 2 dinners for us over the 2 weeks and again very professional and a real highlight.

Thank you so much for cooking for us. We travelled from England, South Africa and Australia to Provence for our special family holiday and your Provencal cooking made our holiday even more special. You brought our holiday a true taste of Provence and we loved trying traditional dishes from the area. The Melon Soup and anchoiade were amazing and I wondered if it would be possible to have the recipes?!

Thank you also for cooking for the children, they were still talking about the 'Sophie Cooking' after we left and I don't think I have ever seen them ask for third helpings! The home-made pizza (which Harry called the best pizza in the whole entire world) and legendary crepes will not be forgotten!

A cooking class, a chef-prepared meal and a wine tour were all outstanding. I can't remember his name but the person who did our wine tour was outstanding as was chef Youcef who conducted our cooking class on our last night in the villa.

Yvan cooked us the most beautiful meal and was a delightful gentleman.



We were absolutely delighted with Chef Marie and her dinners. The food was truly excellent and the presentation first class. In addition, Marie herself is very pleasant and was very unobtrusive around the villa. We could not recommend her enough!

On the last night of our stay, we hired Chef Youcef, with assistance from Only Provence. He and his assistant (Chrystal) prepared a wonderful three course meal which we enjoyed on the patio. It was particularly fun to watch Chrystal set the table, creating a floral masterpiece from only the foliage and flora of the garden. It was truly a magical evening.

Chef Julien was absolutely wonderful and one of the best meals we had in France. I wish I could recreate his gazpacho -- the best ever!!

Sophie cooked our 7 dinners. She was a delight and her meal were memorable, as was the way she decorated the table. The experience could not have been better!

Chef David came with a helper and was so warm and friendly. The experience of dining with him was amazing - the food was tasty and varied and the quality of the ingredients far exceeded our experience with. His dinner was worth the money and I would hire him back in a heartbeat!

chef Julien had car trouble on night that he was booked - but came next night instead and his dinner was one of the best I had in France (including Michelin star restaurants). Highly recommend the private chef experience.

Cyrille was a wonderful chef. He stepped in when our first choice was no longer available. This was a surprise, but he did a wonderful job. The meal was delicious, perfect for all of us (including a vegetarian and children) and he served it on our patio with a bottle of champagne

She arrived on time and was totally professional. She was also charming and quickly grasped the mood of our group. Her food was very good and well presented. She left the kitchen clean and tidy with plates and cutlery in the dishwasher. It was a pleasure to be served by her and she wrote us a short note saying she had enjoyed it too. Can’t be better than that!

We had Marie come and cook a dinner for us. She was marvelous! Her meal was delicious. She was friendly and extremely efficient. She had amazing ingredients and was a pleasure to interact with in French, Portuguese and some english. Truly a lovely evening.
