This is a wonderful day experiencing the best of the Camargue, the unspoiled très- nature region known as the Wild West of Provence. La Camargue, located south of Arles is ranked among the 10 most beautiful area of France (cf Travel + Leisure magazine). Home of the world famous pink flamingoes migrating from Kenya exploring la Camargue is an amazing experience. Spend the full day discovering the unique biodiversity of the southwestern part of Provence. In the morning you will share intimacy with the wild fauna roaming around hundreds of pink flamingoes that you will see from very close. La Camargue carries numbers of local traditions such as breading white horses and black bulls, traditions which have highly influence the local lifestyle. Spend the afternoon being guided through the natural beauty of La Camargue, visiting the pink salt marshes of Aigues Mortes, or the walled medieval village where Louis XIV started the 7th and 8th crusades.

Born and raised in Arles—and fluent in English—Sebastien is un vrai Provencal…a real native! After spending few years living alongside the Mediterranean coast, he decided to leave home. His adventure started with New-York, followed with Sweden and finishing up with London, where he lived for over 4 years. But he then was ready to come home. Passionate about food, wine and local traditions he now offers authentic travel experiences following various seasons and themes.
10 women in Provence for a week! Our day outing with Sebastien was one of the highlights of our time here. He took us to a fantastic market in St Remy, an olive mill in Les Baux, and to the festival of lights / art exhibit in the Carrieres des Baux. While we could have done any of these things on our own, it was a joy to have our group guided— we were hands free for a day to just take it all in, not worry about how and when to get somewhere and to be guided to the best spots. Sebastien is a wealth of information about the region — he was a true joy to be with from start to finish. I highly recommend a day out with Seb to any group visiting Provence.
