Our stay at Mas Allure in Le Paradou was fantastic, the villa itself was wonderful and accommodated 12 people (adults) with ease.
We loved the small village experience with a bakery, butcher and small super market near by, also a bigger village only 20 minutes walk away.
We would strongly recommend Mas Allure, Only Provence and our chef (and his wife who acted as a waiter for the night).
Also the staff at Mas Allure were excellent and very accomodating.
The rooms were all excellent size - especially ours as we had the main room upstairs
With my wife bring a gardener she felt some of the gardens needed a little help but that was our only slight criticism
5 stars for Mas Allure
5 stars for Only Provence
5 stars for our chef (Yvan) - He had to deliver dinner on our 1st evening in very hot conditions (39 degrees)
Overall we were wrapped in our choice and thanks all at Only Provence and Mas Allure for making our trip a great one.
This was our second visit to Mas Allure and we enjoyed it as much as our first. The house is lovely and exceptionally well appointed. The location is superb and access to a wonderful bakery, butcher and restaurant are perfect.

Perhaps the communication. When I made the booking, Ingrid indicated that the owner would like to host a dinner upon our arrival. I communicated a number of times with Only Provence about this dinner, once attempting to change the date (we were celebrating a big birthday) and was told it was the only night that the chef was free. A week prior to our arrival, I was still under the impression that we were being hosted to a chef dinner so you can imagine our disappointment that the owner had not planned it. He did kindly attempt to remedy the situation and hosted us to a dinner in St. Remy. Following a long day getting to Provence, much as the dinner was appreciated, it was a significant disappointment and not the best way to begin our week there.
I would recommend both Mas Allure and Only Provence. It is my impression that the clients desires are important to both you and the owner.

We liked everything about Mas Allure - especially the closeness of the stores and the Bistrot du Paradou (restaurant). 5 stars
We have rented from Only Provence 8 times and always had a good experience. John Dean has always taken care of any minor problems that occur. 5 stars for Only Provence
Ronald Guillaume is a super chef and pleasant to deal with. 5 stars
We had a 2 week stay in Mas Allure end of August. As someone who has been renting a villa for a number of years mostly in France Mas Allure definitely the best property we have ever had As regards the physical end of the villa it really is impossible to find any fault unusually it is exactly as described on the website The staff whilst unobtrusive were always there when needed. The pool always spotless I would have to give it 5 stars . As I am a restaurateur that is praise I seldom give in the hospitality industry . Only Provence also turned out to be a very caring agency going to the trouble of sending a gift to us soon after our arrival All in all very hard to find any fault.
The house was wonderful and more than we could have imagined, an incredible place for our family to spend a week, charming to the point of almost fanciful. The house was well equipped, furnished and appointed. The welcoming provisions (wine, cheese, fruit, breads, pastry, etc) were over the top. The staff on-site were attentive but never in the way.
Paradou is as charming a small Provence village as they get; well located for day trips.
Areas for improvement:
1- the pre-trip interactions with Only Provence concierge service was responsive and usually accurately informative. However, they did not know, when specifically asked, that there were children's bicycles at the house (in addition to the advertised adult bicycles). We spent 75 Euros to rent one; it was completely unnecessary. Only Provence should know the property they represent better.
2- we had a problem with one of the bedroom air conditioners. Only Provence was contacted twice by email, about this and did not get back to us. We called the house owner, who had another rental agency that also represents Mas Allure. She kindly intervened and had the problem taken care of in a timely manner. We heard from the Only Provence representative after the problem was fixed.
3- having rented homes all over the world, a common minor problem is that the kitchen knives are as dull as butter knives. Mas Allure was the same.
Most highly recommend Mas Allure.
Only Provence highly recommend.
Chef Yvan is very highly recommended as he prepared a wonderful gourmet dinner of stuffed zucchini flowers, lamb Provencal, and freshly made sorbet. Made a few special modifications for the children. Unobtrusive, friendly, served and cleaned up leaving the kitchen spotless.
Laurence is very highly recommended as a private tour guide. She did two half day walking tours with us (Avignon and Arles). She was personal, knowledgeable and also made appreciated accommodation for the two children in our family.

Only Provence website is one of the best sites for home rentals that we've used. Very informative/comprehensive not only about the homes but also about the local and regional area. Easily navigated website. John was Very Responsive to initial inquiries and multiple questions before the contract was signed. A real pleasure to work with. We will use them again in the future and recommend them to our friends.
Our kindest regards and thanks for a magical vacation.
My husband and I booked Mas Allure for friends to help celebrate a big birthday and it certainly turned out to be a wonderful decision. The house was beyond expectation with a great assortment of pastries, breakfast foods and drinks to welcome us. Nothing was forgotten. Fresh flowers in every room and an amazing attention to detail. Everyone was thrilled with the accommodations and we loved the village of Paradou. Minutes to the bakery, butcher and local Spar made it perfect for fresh morning croissants and everything we needed for preparing long, leisurely dinners. And so convenient to Les Baux and St Remy. We hope to return to Mas Allure and stay for longer next time!
Everything from start to finish was handled professionally and easily. Locating Mas Allure online, quick responses and simple payment procedure. The house is gorgeous and we felt so welcomed.

I just wanted to send you all a quick email thanking you for such a wonderful experience at Mas Allure. The villa is absolutely beautiful. The setting, the location, the decor, the floorpan, and the staff are all top drawer! I was hesitant to rent a villa that was not secluded in the countryside. It was the best decision ever! We loved being in tiny Paradou. Being able to walk to the grocery store, the bakery, the butcher, and to Le Bistro du Paradou was a luxury! Being near St. Remy, La Baux, and Mausanne was great! We are also thankful that we were a quick drive away from Arles when we had to take our daughter to the hospital emergency room! And Chef Yvan was a treat! And our wine tour was such a fun experience, too! Thank you all very much! I can't think of anywhere more marvelous than Mas Allure!
The pictures and description on the website for Mas Allure are inviting and convinced us to stay at Allure – but the reality exceeded our high expectations! The inside of the Mas is beautifully appointed with every attention to detail in the furniture, artwork, window coverings, decorations and lighting. The kitchen is warm and easy to cook in or share a casual meal, and the dining room large enough for big group dinners including fine china and silver. The bedrooms are all distinctly decorated and cozy with plenty of natural light and equally well done bathrooms ensuite. The location of the Mas made exploring and enjoying the town of Paradou on foot easy with its great store, bakery and fantastic restaurant Le Bistro Paradou.
Our experience in France was fabulous! The Mas Allure certainly deserves a 5 star rating as do the two chefs, David and Veronique. The mas was extremely comfortable, very well equipped, and most welcoming.
We arrived home late last week from our trip to France & Holland.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mas du Paradou, a very comfortable and beautiful home.
It reminded Don & I a lot of le Mas at Eygalieres from last year.
Thank you very much for the wonderful gift of wines and canapes that arrived on our last evening, enjoyed by all.
What did you like about your experience?
It was a lovely house, very tastefully decorated, in a town we have come to know over the years and love.

Le Paradou is the charming name given to this tiny village situated between the Baux de Provence and Maussane les Alpilles at the foot of the Alpilles mountain range.
Although this village may well ressemble Paradise, the origins of its name Le Paradou are much more down to earth... its name comes from the ancient windmills used by the weavers who lived on the banks of the Arcoule river.
In the middle ages, the village was called St Martin de Castillon (not to be confused with the village in the Vaucluse).
Established at the foot of the fortress, the Baux de Provence, the fate of the village was closely linked to the nobles, the "seigneurs des Baux". Two historic artefacts from this era can be seen today : a surprising hydraulic irrigation system and the remains of a 12th century chateau with crumbling towers and a walled enclosure.
You can also visit an unusual museum displaying more than 400 different santons and 32 scale-models in an area 400 m2. La Petite Provence du Paradou is understood to be one of the biggest creches in the world. This museum merits a detour as you can admire the work of some of the most talented Santon makers in Provence.
Le Paradou is a delightful village filled with beautifully restored houses and colourful gardens. With its narrow, well-maintained streets, brightly painted shutters, restaurants decorated in Provencal style and tempting hand-craft boutiques, Le Paradou is a glorious example of Provence at its best !
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
