Mas des Amis sits on the hillside of the village of Roussillon, where guests can enjoy beautiful views from multiple terrace areas, or walk into this stunning village for a vast array of amenities.

This newly built mas has been adorned with warm provençal decor, and offers great comfort within its air-conditioned walls.

The ground floor kitchen opens to a spacious dining and living room with large bay windows overlooking the pool. Access to the terrace is also found here, aligning the house beautifully between indoor and outdoor living.

Once outside, guests will find a large shaded terrace with multiple seating areas for relaxation and dining, surrounded by an expansive green space and tall trees.

The village of Roussillon is a beautiful medieval town, known and loved for its amazing array of ochre colors. It has all the amenities guests could need - restaurants and cafes, grocery, bakery, butcher, doctor, pharmacy, small specialist stores, galleries and a weekly market - all within walking distance of the home.

Mas des Amis does accept arrival and departure days other than Saturdays, please inquire if needed.

UPDATE FROM ONLY PROVENCE: The TV has been updated to a flat screen with HDMI port and DVD player.

Mas des Amis is a lovely house in a really good location relating to the village (Roussillon) centre. Whilst reflecting a typical Provencal house it also had the added bonus of being a new build which benefitted from air conditioning and modern bathrooms and plumbing. On the basis you have specifically asked for areas of improvement and on the basis these are very minor issues; we would note that we felt that the kitchen accessories, crockery and cutlery etc., whilst acceptable could have been better. However, in terms of overall rating we would still give the property 5 out of 5 stars. As such we would clearly recommend Mas des Amis to others.

Situated in the Luberon, at the foot of the Monts de Vaucluse, the village of Roussillon is surrounded by beautiful countryside.

It is considered one of the most impressive villages in France - Roussillon is one of the "must-sees" in the Luberon, and is well worth a detour.

Roussillon - Ocres hills. Situated in the heart of one of the biggest ochre deposits in the world, Roussillon is famous for its magnificent red cliffs and ochre quarries. The red, yellow and brown shades of the earth form a striking contrast with the lush green pinetrees. The vivid blue of the Provençal sky and the exceptional quality of light make this a magical site.

Roussillon - Ochre Facades. It is like an artist's pallet, with the infinite combinations of colours varying from yellow to purple with all the shades of pink and red inbetween. Situated in the heart of one of the biggest ochre deposits in the world, Roussillon is famous for its magnificent red cliffs and ochre quarries.

Roussillon - City hall. You will become acquainted with Roussillon's unique natural history while walking along the ochre pathways. You can also learn about how the ochre is treated and used in the building industry by visiting the "Conservatoire des Ocres et des Pigments Appliqués", situated in an old ochre factory. Most impressive!

Roussillon - Inn. As soon as you arrive in the village of Roussillon, you will be charmed by its atmosphere. Take the time to stroll around the picturesque maze of streets and squares. The ochre façades of the houses are magnificent... shades vary subtly from light yellow to dark red, set off by the brightly painted shutters and doors. From the base of the village to the summit of the Castrum and its splendid view, Roussillon is a delightful place to visit!

Getting here:
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.

Terms and Conditions Overview

Arrival: Saturday (arrival date subject to availability)

Minimum Stay: 1 week - please inquire about exceptions outside the summer months.

Services Included: Final cleaning and any additional maid service listed on the web page

Making your reservation: These properties are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, before you reserve, you are required to review and sign a rental agreement for the villa (the “Rental Agreement”). We will send you the Rental Agreement by email. The Rental Agreement explains in detail all of terms and conditions regarding rental and use of the property in detail. We shall have no obligation to accept any reservations, unless the Rental Agreement is fully executed.

Payment: After you have signed the Rental Agreement and filled out the appropriate information, as approved by us, a nonrefundable payment of the one-half (50%) of the Rental Fee (which price is defined in your Rental Agreement) must be received by us within seven (7) days to confirm the reservation. The remaining one-half (50%) of the Rental Fee is due 60 days before the arrival date, and is also non-refundable. If reservations are made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date, then 100% of the Rental Fee must be paid upon the signing of the Rental Agreement. Please know that a failure to pay any portion of the Rental Fee as set forth above and in Rental Agreement can result in loss of the reservation of the villa and a termination of the Rental Agreement. We will confirm receipt of each payment and note any outstanding balance and due date(s).

Cancellation: We have a no refund cancellation policy, but usually succeed in rescheduling cancelled reservations to the Spring or Fall or re-booking the cancelled period to another group and refunding the party that cancelled. Failure to pay the final balance (which is due 60 days before arrival) or provide required information for the security deposit may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due. Clients are advised to consider Trip Cancellation Insurance with the carrier of their choice at the time of confirmation.
