We were absolutely over the moon about this incredible property, Mas des Anges, which was even more spectacular in real life than it was in pictures (hard to do, as the pictures were phenomenal in and of themselves)! We have been lucky to travel extensively and all of us agreed this might be the beautiful rental villa ever. We all appreciated every minute we were there and treated it as our own...our children had great respect for it, as well - we absolutely loved it!!! We felt we were in an enchanted kingdom and felt so lucky that this particular home is available for rent. It is extremely special and I hope the owners will always rent it, as we would love to come back for years to come.
The chefs were absolutely divine, too, especially John and Nadege. They were true culinary masters and Nadege's final Friday night meal was an absolute perfect send-off for our stay, under the twinkling lights and the green grape arbor!
Area for Improvement:
We were also told in our rental agreement that we would have until 10AM at the house on our final day. However, at 9AM a full staff of cleaners arrived and took over the house.
Would you recommend Mas des Anges, Only Provence, Chefs or Tours?
-I would recommend Mas des Anges because the setting was so absolutely magnificent and so beautifully maintained, but I would feel compelled to include what happened on our final 24 hours there.
-Only Provence was great as well.
-I would ABSOLUTELY recommend the last two chefs in particular who were so wonderful and skilled!
What star rating would you give Mas des Anges?
4 (had the last 24 hours been different, a resounding 5 stars would have been given!)
What star rating would you give Only Provence?
4 (because of the last day - otherwise a 5)
What star rating would you give Chefs you experienced?
Very beautiful house and gardens. Stunning interior. Pool area very well done.
Would you recommend Mas des Anges, Only Provence, Chefs or Tours to friends/ family and why/ why not?
Yes, it is a unique and beautiful house.
What star rating would you give Mas des Anges? (1 is lowest and 5 is the highest) 4.5
What star rating would you give Only Provence? 4
What star rating would you give Chefs/ Tours you experienced? Chef Veronique was delightful. Very sweet and very nice. Made big effort.
I returned from France last Tuesday night, and am so sorry to leave it, and especially, your beautiful house in Oppede.
It was everything I’d hoped for — classically tasteful and immensely comfortable for me and my guests. We all hated to leave!
So thank you for sharing your home in the Luberon with us.
I will remember it always as one of the best vacations I’ve ever had.
