With the recent renovation, the owners have managed to preserve the authenticity of the lovely stone building, while offering elements of comfort and luxury.
Please note, this property is rented only as a 5-bedroom home in the peak summer season (July & August). You will find a listing as Bassin5 on our website further expanding on this - It is a beautiful addition, recently renovated in early 2017. If you indeed rent only 3 bedrooms, the other rooms are simply closed (never rented to another party).

Mas du Bassin is located in the Gordes countryside, seven kilometers from the village and within easy reach of the villages of the Lubéron so adored by travel writers - among them Ménerbes, Lacoste, Goult, Bonnieux and Roussillon. Beaumettes and Coustellet, small villages with a variety of shops, are less than ten minutes by car. The property is likewise well located for excursions beyond the Lubéron. Aix-en-Provence lies to the south, the Cotes du Rhone wine-producing region to the north, and the villages and restaurants of the Alpilles region to the southwest. The historic town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, once a center of the Provençal silk trade and now home to more than 200 antiques dealers and Provence's best-known open-air market, is a drive of less than 15 minutes, is the center outside Paris of antiques dealing.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
