Everything about Villa Bonnieux was quality. A well designed, well built and beautifully decorated and furnished home with real heart and soul. Thank you to our generous hosts for allowing us to briefly share it. We cooked a lot so the well set up kitchen and all the pans, crockery, platters, condiments etc were much appreciated. Comfy beds. Location was great, in town but with a glorious view and quiet. Off street parking also a plus. Roy was very helpful.
Areas for improvement:
The pool area wasn't utilised much because the water was too cold to enjoy.
Would you recommend Villa Bonnieux and Only Provence? Why or why not?
Yes would recommend Villa Bonnieux.
What star rating would you give Villa Bonnieux? 4 1/2
What star rating would you give Only Provence? 4 1/2
A beautiful and very well appointed villa in a lovely Provencal market town. The villa has glorious views across mountains and countryside but is only a minute's walk from local facilities. It has a large garage which was very convenient and the rooms are very nicely decorated and fitted out.The outdoor spaces are excellent and extremely well equipped. We had a fabulous holiday in the villa and would be happy to recommend it.
Only Provence provided a highly professional service with excellent communications. Their service was always very efficient and we were given all the information we needed for our holiday to run smoothly at exactly the right time.
We had a great holiday thank you. Your representative in Bonnieux was very good - a visitors' book would have been a big help.
Areas for improvement:
Heating for pool. We were in Provence for almost three weeks and were able to swim in four other places where we stayed but Villa Bonniuex's water was too cold (and we were at Villa Bonnieux longer than any of the other accommodations).
We also feel that the bathrooms could benefit from some modernisation but this is a minor criticism.
In addition we feel that the villa would benefit from a visitors' book. We have rented many villas and gites over the last thirty five years and a large percentage have had these. They have provided a mine of useful information about things such as restaurants, unusual attractions, shops, etc etc etc. If you are worried about negative comments you can always use a perforated book allowing you to remove spurious or unwarranted comments.
Would you recommend Villa Bonnieux, Only Provence, Chefs or Tours to friends/ family and why/ why not?
Yes. The villa is lovely and Only Provence provided a very efficient and professional service.
What star rating would you give Villa Bonnieux? (1 is lowest and 5 is the highest)
4.5 (only for the lack of pool heating)
What star rating would you give Only Provence? 5
I give your company, Bonniex and the villa the highest marks all around. Professional, courteous, magnificent and restful.
The online document signing was a bit clunky for MAC users, but that is hardly a criticism.
We will be back again. Thank you.

We had a wonderful experience at Villa Bonnieux. The rental process was seamless and easy. Having rented through European owners in the past, it was a pleasure to be able to pay by US check and be able to speak to your representatives in the same time zone. Everything was as advertised. When we arrived at the villa, it lived up to expectations and the photos. Roy McKane was prompt, helpful and responsive to our requests.
The villa is in a perfect location in Bonnieux; the views over the valley are spectacular and change thru ought the day. We couldn’t believe the number of excellent restaurants in such a small village. This allowed us to explore Provence during the day, park the car & still enjoy the wine and restaurants while walking the village. With 6 of us there, the home is spacious and comfortable. We did not take advantage of any of your tours nor the Chef.
Our only recommendations which we communicated to Roy involved the coffee maker. The Nespresso makes only a single cup at a time & didn’t function properly. We purchased a Moulinex drip cone & filters to make larger quantities & left it there for the next renters. We suggested having a good sized French press available.
Overall we rate Only Provence 5 out of 5 and Villa Bonnieux 5 out of 5.

Centrally located in the rolling hills of the Luberon Mountains, going out from Bonnieux on the touristic road to Lacoste and Ménerbes -- An ideal location for hikes, walks, cycling, touring or just relaxing.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
