The house is set in formal mature gardens and is a peaceful haven of tranquillity, protected on all sides by its own land. Exquisitely designed, each individual room has its own special character. The walls are all painted in delicate pale luminous colors, and the ever growing collection of English and French antique furniture and paintings create an impressive, yet relaxed feeling.
The large secluded peaceful walled garden in front of the house is carefully designed to provide a partially shaded terrace. Candlelit dining and long lunches beneath the shade of the three ancient mulberry trees, which in summer are bordered by lavish lavender hedges, is an unforgettable experience.
Situated just in front of the terrace is a large, traditional basin with its ancient fountain, which has been carefully adapted to create a glorious stone edged swimming pool. Beyond the pool, separated by an enormous rosemary border, is a large lawn, which is perfect for croquet. The two enormous cedars of Lebanon on either side of the formal garden are reputedly the oldest in Provence. Their towering height provides further shaded areas which are perfect for quiet days spent reading or relaxing, protected from the Provencal sun. Beyond the garden is a large, ancient cherry orchard.
