This former farmhouse has been transformed into a warm and upscale home, designed by a famous Scandinavian designer who successfully combined the charm of the old with the most modern of amenities.
A spacious living space and kitchen on the ground floor of the main house allow families to stretch out, cook long meals together, or host one of our in-home chefs. There are three bedrooms also found in this main house, with the third and fourth bedrooms situated in private stand-along cottages just up the small hill (about 15m). A sixth room was recently added as well, set in a new 60 sqm studio, 50m from the pool, and complete with kitchenette, sitting room and a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
This separation between bedrooms allows for great privacy between guests where needed, and little alcoves of relaxation for every individual.
Note, there is a small shallow water canal just behind the main house, with a charming stone bridge to cross when walking to the additional bedrooms, as well as the large pool area.
In all, this property exudes the charm of Provence - boasting a beautifully manicured garden with spectacular varieties of flowers and trees. The large pool is perfectly positioned overlooking the main farmhouse, and offers gorgeous panoramic views of the valley and Alpilles hills. The adjoining pool house is complete with a kitchenette, inviting guests to dine and lounge outdoors.
There is perfect privacy here for guests wishing to find rest and peace at certain times, while also being able to share meals at the main house and fun together at the pool. It is best suited for up to 12 adults and 3 children.

7 km north east of Arles and 8 km south of the Baux de Provence via the D17is the Fontvieille - Daudet's windmill
Fontvieille is situated in the heart of the "Provence des Alpilles", not far from the historic arena at Arles, the citadel of the Baux de Provence, the museums of Saint-Rémy and the Avignon Festival which is less than 30km away !
Fontvieille - Church: After having left Arles, you will follow a pretty road (the D17 in the direction of Les Baux and Maussane) which crosses the superb countryside of the Alpilles with its vast fields of olive trees, shrubs and lush green fields, with the majestic Montmajour abbey in the distance.
Fontvieille - Town hall: Arriving in Fontvieille, you will discover a picturesque village with its ancient houses built from stone extracted from the famous quarries founded in the 15th century. The arenas at Arles and Nîmes, the 14th century chateau at Tarascon and most recently the Palais Longchamps and the Bourse at Marseille have all been built from the same stone.
Fontvieille - Mautauban castle: Fontvieille is the village where Alphonse Daudet wrote his famous "Lettres de Mon Moulin". To visit the "Moulin de Daudet" and its small museum, climb the small hill until you reach the summit where the wind-mill overlooks the valley. From the hill (easy to climb), you will have a superb view of the Alpilles and the "Château de Montauban" where Daudet lived from time-to-time.
Fontvieille - Church: It was here, surrounded by this "scenery of stone" (or "caillasse" as they say here), on this hill-top covered in olives, pine-trees and oaks that Daudet found the inspiration for his stories.
He dreamt up his characters while listening to the stories from the shepherds and inhabitants of the Montauban chateau.
A variety of walking-tracks ranging from 2 to 9 km are available so visitors can appreciate the beauty of the natural environment, and it is even possible to walk in the foot-steps of la chèvre de M. Seguin!
