Come and truly discover life in Provençe by renting this exceptional property with room for up to 18 guests - a fabulous location for family reunions or a gathering of friends. The greatest asset of this magnificent Mas is that it can comfortably accommodate larger groups while maintaining a cozy, luxurious atmosphere. The house offers 6000 sq. ft of living space, with 9 bedrooms (5 full bathrooms plus 3 half baths), all redone in natural stone, tile or terracotta. An exceptionally lovely kitchen finished in marble and stone and professionally equipped, offers a paradise for those who love to cook. The property includes a small private vineyard facing the house, and a large pool (6x12 meters). Enjoy long meals "Provençal style" on the stone terrace overlooking the vineyard, lounge by the pool or wander to a local winery on foot. Also within walking distance are a small playground, bakery and cafe, bar, 3 restaurants, Roman Temple Ruins and Nature trails.

Le Mas de Gancel is ideally located close to many popular areas for sightseeing including Aix-en-Provençe, Avignon, the Luberon villages and Saint-Rémy-de-Provençe and Les Baux-de-Provence. It is a haven for bikers and walkers with its proximity to numerous trails leading to surrounding villages and historic sites. The villa offers several à la carte services during your stay, including cooking classes and chef services. Daily housekeeping included (except Sundays).

Getting here:
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.

Take 20% off our normal weekly rate from April 21 through May 12. Come enjoy an early spring in Provence with sunny days and spring flowers in bloom. Price is all-inclusive with maid service 6 days per week.

Terms and Conditions

Arrival: Saturday

Minimum Stay: 1 week - please inquire about exceptions outside the summer months

Includes: Final cleaning and any additional maid service as described above.

Confirming your reservation: We will send a rental agreement by fax, email or regular mail. The rental agreement will specify the rental price, the amount of security deposit and the maximum number of overnight occupants.

Initial payment: The signed rental agreement and payment of the 50% deposit using a check or bank wire transfer(preferred) must be received within 7 seven days to confirm the reservation. The second 50% is due 60 days before arrival - we will email you a reminder 75 days before your arrival.

Payment acknowledgment: Immediately upon receipt of your initial or final payment we will mail you an Acknowledgement of Payment. The Acknowledgement will note the remaining balance, if any, and when the payment is due.

Final payment The second half of the rent and any security deposit are due in our offices 60 days before the first day of your rental. We must strictly adhere to this procedure, and failure to comply could result in cancellation of the booking. Don't worry about forgetting -- we'll remind you if your payment is not received on time.

Cancellation Cancellation of a confirmed reservation is a painful event for both owner and renter. The renter cancels because of some unexpected hardship; meanwhile the owner may have turned away rental opportunities and thus lost revenue. We have a no refund cancellation policy, but usually succeed in rescheduling cancelled reservations to the Spring or Fall or booking the cancelled period to another group and refunding the party that cancelled. Failure to pay the final balance which is due 60 days before arrival may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due. Security deposits are fully refundable. Clients are strongly urged to take out Trip Cancellation Insurance with the carrier of their choice at the time of confirmation. We can send a Travel Insurance quote to US or Canadian residents for all or part of the cost of your trip. We would need the name, birth date, airline carrier, dates of travel and amount of money to be covered for each guest who would like to be insured. Please inquire for a quote.

Security Deposit: The security deposit is taken as a signed promise that we can charge your credit card for any unpaid damage or expenses incurred during your stay. It is very rare that we ever charge a card - we inform our guests before doing so. Reasonable wear and tear is not charged for, but the cost of missing or damaged items will be deducted from the deposit.

Extra Charges The rent includes taxes, standard utilities and maid service as noted above. Additional maid or other services can be arranged and are charged for separately. In cold months November through April there is an additonal 100 euro per week charge for heating cost.
