R. Everything was lovely.
Q. Is there anything that needs to be replaced or updated?
R. A small "drinks" table next to the blue couch in the living room would be a good idea.
Q. Did you book any chef or tour services? If so, what was your experience?
Q. Would you consider staying here again?
Q. What did you like about your experience?
R. We loved the house, the beautiful gardens, the frogs at night, the lovely pool. We also enjoyed the new state-of-the-art tennis court with its excellent surface. Thank you for providing racquets. We greatly enjoyed 2 dinners at nearby Le Moulin de Sophie, just a few minutes walk from the house.
Q. What is one thing we could do to improve your experience with Only Provence in the future?
R. Everything was great. A good idea to add to your web site: When out driving in the country, the only gas stations you see are automated with no attendant. These gas stations do NOT take US credit cards, only French bank cards. The automated gas stations don't take cash either, so you are up a creek unless you can find a supermarket gas station like Carrefours where you can buy gas with cash. Or, like us, find a mechanic shop with a pump. We found one out in the middle of nowhere with one lonely pump and the helpful owner took our credit card. This was lucky, as we were driving on fumes! The tres chic lady in charge pumped our gas wearing leather gloves.
Q. Testimonial for Only Provence
R. We stayed at Mas Des Iris for a peaceful week in early May and experienced a wonderful greeting from our host Maria and meticulous and thoughtful housekeeping from her staff. We loved the gracious house, well-stocked kitchen and beautiful gardens. The new tennis court got high marks from the serious tennis players in our group. We also enjoyed playing petanque on the lovely court. This quiet, gated oasis is Just a few minutes' walk from Le Moulin de Sophie, a popular and beautiful restaurant, plus the boulangerie, fruit and vegetable shop and butcher. A lovely spot from which to launch your exploration of Provence. Great outdoor barbecue and pool, too.
The location of the villa was superb. We could not have asked for a better location for our needs. We wanted to be able to walk to town and be centrally located to the sites and attractions. also, being just outside of Avignon made it convenient to get there from Paris. The villa itself was well appointed and well constructed. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern and fresh which are important to us. As Americans, we are accustomed to spacious and luxurious kitchen/bathrooms. We loved the different vignettes around the property to sit or to dine. Each space was well decorated and offered quality furnishings and decorations.
Areas for improvement:
Need more sleeping pillows in the bedrooms. There are only two for sleeping, the rest are for decoration. Get soft feather like pillows. Have maid place more than 2 towels in the master bathrooms. I need one for drying my body and one for drying my hair, leaving zero towels for my husband! He had to use the pool towel!
This property was a terrific value for the money. As an American, I have high standards for lodging and accommodations and this villa was top of the line.
What star rating would you give Mas des Iris? 5
What star rating would you give Only Provence? 5
Only Provence listened to my list of requirements for a villa rental and delivered EXACTLY what our family was looking for in Provence. We had no knowledge of the Provence region and depended on Only Provence to identify a property that would fit our needs. The villa that was recommended was exceptional and perfect in very way!
