The owners of this particular home have succeeded greatly in maintaining authenticity within the soul of the building, while adding contemporary amenities such as air-conditioning, a modern kitchen, comfortable beds and bedding, and of course a wonderfully refreshing pool.
The interiors are simultaneously calm and chic, inviting guests to truly relax and enjoy their time together. The design here is very clever, with the garden level dedicated to communal living space and outdoor terraces, and upper areas reserved for bedrooms.
The beautifully kept garden area and pool offer a welcome respite between days of exploration throughout the region.
Lourmarin itself is one of the most sought-after villages of the area, and a village house of this standard and amenities here is quite unique. The cafes and restaurants are a short two-minute walk from the front entrance of the home, yet with tall trees and stone walls encompassing the property, there is a great sense of peaceful privacy maintained here as well.

The property is a wonderful vacation home in the loveliest village of Lourmarin. The jewel in the crown of the Luberon region and most popular area to spend time due to the array of restaurants, stores and art galleries.
It is located right in the village, spotlessly clean, well appointed, attention to detail, well-equipped kitchen. Walking distance to the many Lourmarin cafes, restaurants and boutiques – plus THE BEST Friday market.
There is a private garden and pool, plus much appreciated AC for summer months.
It is best suited for a family or two couples and we would not hesitate to recommend it.

Listed as "one of the most beautiful villages in France", Lourmarin nestles in the middle of vinyards, olive groves and almond trees.
A very animated village in the summer due to its numerous cafe terraces, restaurants and boutiques, Lourmarin attracts many visitors.
There is a 15th and 16thc, castle that has peculiar stairs to see and magnificent apartments to admire (only the Renaissance part of the castle is open to the public).
In the village you will notice the typical Mediterranean architecture in its winding narrow streets, lovely old restored houses, and well shaded public squares where you can immerse youself in the gentil Provençal ambience.
The inhabitants will want to remind you that Albert Camus, winner of the Nobel Literature Prize, lived and wrote here.
In fact he was buried in the Lourmarin cemetary.
In such esthetic surroundings and so lively an atmosphere, it is really the place to be in the Luberon in the summer months.

The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
