An historic Mas, this property exudes an air of both high-class living and simple, relaxed comfort. In the traditional farmhouse style of Provence, the home itself sits slightly elevated from the fields below, with an outdoor terrace lining the extent of the property. On this terrace, one could spend days on end - relaxing in comfort in one of the many seating areas, or dining together in the shade of the trees. Just past this terrace sits a beautifully manicured pergola garden, leading to the large pool area. A new private tennis court is set below the terrace.
Indoors, decor and design are second to none - Owners have carefully ensured that every detail of comfort and class are evident, from the marble guest baths to the sitting room areas, and along to the large classic kitchen facing the terrace. Just beyond the kitchen, a second living room space and Orangerie provide additional room to gather.
The second story enjoys a spacious landing from the central stairwell, with three separate wings housing seven bedrooms and seven baths. This design allows for plenty of space for larger groups to come together and enjoy both time together, as well as quiet time in private quarters.
In all, Mas de Paradis affords equally quintessential location, historical class, and great comforting ambiance here in the countryside of the charming village of Paradou.

This is the MOST beautiful home imaginable. Great setting, wonderful decor, superbly equipped kitchen, lovely pool and pool house, new white chaise longue, extra-ordinary housekeeper (washes, irons and returns laundry same day), great new tennis court- I could go on and on. The quality of the fabrics, linen, towels, umpteen cutlery sets, crockery etc is excellent. One felt respected as a client and the entire experience at Mas de Paradis is one of spoiling in very beautiful surroundings. A perfect holiday.

Le Paradou is the charming name given to this tiny village situated between the Baux de Provence and Maussane les Alpilles at the foot of the Alpilles mountain range.
Although this village may well ressemble Paradise, the origins of its name Le Paradou are much more down to earth... its name comes from the ancient windmills used by the weavers who lived on the banks of the Arcoule river.
In the middle ages, the village was called St Martin de Castillon (not to be confused with the village in the Vaucluse).
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
