5 out of 5
We had the most wonderful time in Provence and this was mainly thanks to the wonderful team of Only Provence, which was very efficient and courteous all along, to the wonderful house, which was well equipped and beautiful and to Yvan, our chef for one night, and Jean-Bertrand, who took us on the most wonderful hike (balade).
We enjoyed every minute, the house is wonderfully located and the additional bonus was that some celebrities were residing in the same village, which made for funny small talk at the dinner tables in the nearby, excellent restaurants.
We can particularly recommend going out in the village!
Our first evening was a pure delight, since Yvan came to give us a cooking course. My children are still raving about the dessert! My favourite was the starter - and the best is that we go to take the recipes home with us to be used over and over and over again. I would not give that a miss, if I were to go again.
On day 3 we went on a wonderful hike with Jean-Bernard, including with my mother-in-law and our three children, with the youngest only 4. The nature was just wonderful and it was just a tiny bit too exhausting for the little one, but no problem, as he then had a ride on our backs.
In short: we would go back tomorrow if we could.
Thanks for the best holiday we have had in a long time.

Just a 10 minutes walk from the charming and sophisticated village of Eygalieres, a favorite hideaway for wealthy Parisians hosts a number of famous restaurants. Find all of the charm and amenities in the village with butcher, baker, café/ bar and weekly ootdoor market. The area surrounding the village provides one of the most dramatic landscapes in Provence with the famed Alpilles (hills) adorning the view - an area made famous by the works Vincent Van Gogh.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
