The home is a former farm dating back to the XVII century, recently renovated in an elegant yet relaxed style. Exposed stone, charming antiques and pieces of art work can be found throughout. A sun-drenched salon complete with piano offers the perfect spot to have intimate drawn-out meals overlooking the olive and cypress-treed garden.
Located only minutes from Aubignon or Carpentras you will have all the conveniences of a small town, fresh bread, butchers, cheese shops and outdoor markets. The scenic routes that surround the Mas are speckled with wineries and trails for hiking and biking.
Enjoy sitting outside on the terrace or beside the pool overlooking the stunning views of Provence.

We were a group of four couples and the experience far exceeded our expectations. We all loved the place. As one of our group said: “How many times do you go away and the experience is not quite what you expect? This place is more than we expected.” Great house – comfort for all four couples – great setting, and great location. Chef Yvan Gillardi was terrific. One our best and most memorable meals.
Areas for improvement: The written directions from Avignon to Le Mas des Pierres were impossible for any of us to follow. We had four cars and we all got lost, even the GPS systems in the vehicles did not find the Chemin.
I would highly recommend all of the above to anyone who is looking for a vacation in Provence, and we might even return In the future.

I highly recommend Le Mas des Pierres and Only Provence. The house is amazing, far better than we imagined and Only Provence was very helpful in the booking and pre-arrival process. Anybody going to Provence who is looking for a house to rent should definitely contact Only Provence. And if you want a really great place to stay, where great memories can be made, should consider Le Mas des Pierres.
Stanley Smith was very helpful.
Le Mas des Pierres was perfect for our family. The bedrooms are situated in a way that all are separated and private. Two of them are on different levels (by a few steps) so with children it could still be quiet. But if steps bother you, this house might not be the one for you. There are quite a few. The house itself is lovely. The grounds are exquisite. The children enjoyed the pool which was always clean. We had everything we needed. The kitchen is a little "funky". There is only a window in the kitchen and no door to the outside. This was a disappointment but we got used to it. After all, that part of the house dates back to the 14th century! One of the biggest pluses is the walking path and canal behind the house. It was a great way to walk off some of that tasty French food! I think the one minus of the house is the lighting. It was dark! We had to bring a lamp from a bedroom to the kitchen. It was impossible to read in bed. We changed the light bulbs which did help. But in general, the house needs better lighting.
Would you recommend Le Mas des Pierres, Only Provence, Chefs or Tours to friends/ family? YES. I already have.

The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
