Q. Testimonial for Only Provence
R. Very helpful, and property was exceptional.
We rented Le Relais for three weeks and we loved every minute we spent there. The house is beautiful, cozy, very well decorated and comfortable. The location is good because it’s close to beautiful french villages but in a quiet and nice area. The managers were very helpful. The owner prepared a manual about the house and the area that is complete and we used it a lot.
We rented bikes with Hubert from Luberon-bike. In spite of Hubert being very nice I’m not sure if this is the best place to rent a bike. We visited General Bikes that seems to have newer and more bikes available.
We used the chef service (Gerald) twice. Once for meal delivery and the other for full service. Both experiences were good. Gerald is a nice person and cooks very well.
We had a great time at Le Relais.
Areas for improvement:
The lights in the kitchen had a problem that should be fixed. But it didn’t bother us.
Definitely I recommend Le Relais.

Only Provence was definitely a good support for our choice and to make our vacation memorable. They were always available to help and to answer our questions as soon as possible.
Definitely I recommend them.
During the month of October (2015) I had the pleasure of staying at Le Relais for just over a week with three of my best golf buddies , while enjoying a men’s golf trip in Southern France. The layout of the house, with four bedrooms, each with their own large and well-appointed ensuite bathrooms was quite a luxury. The main living area has a very comfortable seating area where we spent time swapping stories about the area and the various courses we were able to play. The kitchen is ideal for the most ambitious home cooks, and professionals as well, as we discovered the night Chef Ronald came to cook us a magnificent five course dinner! The exterior terrace and gardens were extremely well maintained and in beautiful condition showing off the fall colors. The house is very high quality in its restoration and maintenance, and the location is perfect for enjoying the many beautiful hill villages which make up the Luberon Valley. We look forward to coming back next year for another great stay at Le Relais!
Our stay at the Relais was amazing! The house is very well appointed and the location
was fantastic. We loved coming “ home” each day and sitting outside overlooking the Luberon Mountains
with wine, cheese and all the goodies we bought at the markets. We were four couples and each
bedroom and bath were comfortable and roomy.
I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. This was my seventh group to take to
Provence and this was the best house so far.
I do not know where you could improve.
I give Le Relais 5 stars.
All services 5 stars. Very nice and well organized.
We had an amazing trip, and the house was, as you described, really exceptional. The weather was perfect and we're already thinking about booking for a week in '14.
For me the house was perfect, with one exception. We are more than avid cooks, I've been producing cooking television for the past 15 years, and prior to that I took a 2 year sabbatical from television to attend culinary school and cook in fine dining restaurants here in NYC. We rented this property on Ingrid's recommendation because she said the kitchen was great. True to her word, the kitchen is fabulous, but the cookware is not. It was surprising to me that someone would spend so much money on top-tier appliances and other infrastructural things, but supply such ordinary pots and pans. I actually ruined a Tefal pan thinking it was ovenproof (the handle broke off) and then spent $60 replacing it. I wasn't expecting Mauviel, but All-Clad or Viking, or any of the mid-tier lines would have been more consistent with the rest of the kitchen. As for the knives, they looked nice, but we always travel with our own, so I can't say if they were sharp or not.
Honestly, that was my only negative experience at the house, outside of that it was pretty perfect.
Until next year... warm regards.

Located in a quiet hamlet, the home is situated near Roussillon, Bonnieux & Gordes in an ancient vineyard of 5 acres, with expansive views of the Luberon and Ventoux Mountains. The region is home to some of France's finest restaurants. But perhaps the true glory of Provencal cuisine resides in the many small, family-run restaurants serving a prix-fixe menu with tasty fresh, locally produced ingredients.
Getting here:
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
