My three daughters and their families and my brother and myself had a really lovely week at Mas de la Salamandre. It is situated in a beautiful part of France with lots of places to visit nearby, and wonderful scenery. The children loved the pool, boules and ping pong . The large shaded area by the pool was also much appreciated. We were very well looked after and have booked this same villa for 2018 as we all loved it. 4.5 Stars
The week that me and my family spent at Mas de la Salamandre was overall a wonderful time. The comfort and the amenities that the house offered were outstanding and far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated , the kitchen was very well equipped and the living areas inside and out were stunning and very comfortable , not to mention thew views from the property. We tried to take advantage of all it had to offer, the petanque field, the trampoline and the steam bath and of course the pool. The shaded area by the pool was especially nice since not everyone wanted to stay in the sun too much. This was a very special occasion for our family and the this house made it even more special.
A few minor things that could be improved are.
The coordinates given to us in the letter with the directions were not correct, so we had a little trouble finding the house in the beginning using the GPS.
The barbecue grill did not work properly, We cooked some steaks the first night there and had trouble keeping the grill warm.
We could not find a skimmer for the pool to pick up bugs and debris that had fallen into it overnight.
There was some smell from the bathrooms that led to the hallway on the second and third floors. It seems like it came from the shower or toilet, even if they where used regularly.
I would absolutely recommend the house.
