In the heart of the Alpilles, nestled amongst the hills in a beautiful green setting, you will find Mas de Valmouriane. The owners’ focus on offering a serene and relaxing location is immediately felt when you enter the spacious rooms of the mas.

With harmonious decor flowing from room to room, this sense of tranquility continues from the fine furniture details to the soft light entering large windows throughout the home. The kitchen and dining rooms are located in the left wing of the house, offering sizable space ideal for dining with family and friends. To reach the living room and home cinema located in the right wing, we pass a beautiful Bödendorff piano, perfect for inspiring even the most novice of composers. Four of the five bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with a private en-suite bathroom. The Master en-suite bedroom is located upstairs with a beautiful balcony offering unobstructed views of the surroundings.

The front of the house faces south over the large garden. Children can enjoy playing on the vast lawn, or swimming in the nearby pool, while family spends peaceful time on the terrace. A "terrain de boules" with light has just been set for the guests. For those who prefer walking outdoors, a lovely path from the house is available where you may find yourself spending hours getting lost in the forest.

Furthermore, an independent studio, with kitchenette and lounge area, offers a sixth bedroom with bathroom. This house is perfect for families wishing to enjoy a relaxing holiday under the sun of Provence. Relish in the countryside locale, while still being only a 5-minute drive from the beautiful villages of St. Remy and Baux de Provence.

The Mas is superb, you really feel that this is a house in which people live!(not just for rental purposes) The accommodation is modern, high quality and very comfortable an perfectly maintained. Location of the Mas is very calm, situated in beautiful natural surrounding, protected from mistral wind. Indoor and outdoor accommodations are superb! The local gardener and the housekeeping are very friendly people. I have no remarks on anything.

Through circumstances I was very late in ordering some chefs! I must say that Louise from Only Provence has been very helpful and all the chefs have done their utmost to fulfill our needs. I was very delighted with the daily service of Gerald and the very fine cuisine of Mary and David!

Situated in the heart of the Alpilles, Saint Rémy is one of the "must-sees" in Provence. Surrounded by lush green perfumed valleys, its ancient streets are lined with beautifully restored old houses... you will soon be seduced by Saint Rémy's charm! While strolling through the narrow winding streets you will discover fantastic old fountains, shady squares, picturesque restaurants and elegant boutiques. Square From the place Jean Jaurès to the gates of the old town, you will come across a long succession of "hôtels particuliers" (often converted into museums or art galleries), convents, chapels, and ornate houses from the 17th and 18th century. The beauty of the countryside and the quality of light has inspired many artists, writers and painters. Without a doubt, the most famous was Vincent Van Gogh who produced more than150 paintings of the countryside surrounding Saint Rémy de Provence. You can walk to the very same places painted by the artist and discover the mountain of St Rémy, fields of wheat and coquelicots (wild flowers), olive trees and cypruses - all just as it was more than a century ago. Triumphal archSaint Rémy de Provence is an historic village built on one of the oldest archeological sites in Europe. Visitors can fossick among the remains of the "Comptoir de Glanum" which was founded in the 3rd century BC, before control passed to the Romans under Julius Cesar. The ruins have seen the passing of several civilisations and you can visit the "grands Thermes", the long residential avenue, the temple and the natural spring of a true gallo-roman city, dating from 30 to 10 years before Christ. Two important monuments are visible next to the site : l'Arc de Triomphe and the Mausolée des Antiques. Following a logical procession of the excavations at Glanum, you can then visit the archeological centre at the Hôtel de Sade, a splendid example of 15th century architecture

Getting here:
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.

Terms and Conditions Overview

Arrival: Saturday (arrival date subject to availability)

Minimum Stay: 1 week - please inquire about exceptions outside the summer months.

Services Included: Final cleaning and any additional maid service listed on the web page

Making your reservation: These properties are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, before you reserve, you are required to review and sign a rental agreement for the villa (the “Rental Agreement”). We will send you the Rental Agreement by email. The Rental Agreement explains in detail all of terms and conditions regarding rental and use of the property in detail. We shall have no obligation to accept any reservations, unless the Rental Agreement is fully executed.

Payment: After you have signed the Rental Agreement and filled out the appropriate information, as approved by us, a nonrefundable payment of the one-half (50%) of the Rental Fee (which price is defined in your Rental Agreement) must be received by us within seven (7) days to confirm the reservation. The remaining one-half (50%) of the Rental Fee is due 60 days before the arrival date, and is also non-refundable. If reservations are made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date, then 100% of the Rental Fee must be paid upon the signing of the Rental Agreement. Please know that a failure to pay any portion of the Rental Fee as set forth above and in Rental Agreement can result in loss of the reservation of the villa and a termination of the Rental Agreement. We will confirm receipt of each payment and note any outstanding balance and due date(s).

Cancellation: We have a no refund cancellation policy, but usually succeed in rescheduling cancelled reservations to the Spring or Fall or re-booking the cancelled period to another group and refunding the party that cancelled. Failure to pay the final balance (which is due 60 days before arrival) or provide required information for the security deposit may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due. Clients are advised to consider Trip Cancellation Insurance with the carrier of their choice at the time of confirmation.
