This is a professionally decorated and well-designed escape from reality with comforts and high end finishings. Nothing is as you would expect! The decoration inspires imagination.
This house is very well equipped and operates as a high-end bed and breakfast outside the summer months. Every aspect of comfort has been considered - spacious and private en-suite bedrooms, televisions and individual heating and air conditioning units in each bedroom. There is even a centralized music system so you can choose your own theme in each bedroom depending on your mood.
The owners spent a career in the hotel business - this shows in the integrity of the property.
There is small wooden chalet outdoors that houses a home cinema (ideal for kids) or for additional guests. Fun and relaxing!
This is our only house with both interior and exterior heated pools. The steam room is great for off-season stays.

We had a lovely stay at Mas de voyageurs in August.
Points to maybe improve on. On the day we were due to leave checkout was 10 am however the lady looking after the property came before 9 am and started wandering around property into bathrooms etc whist we were all still packing up and getting ready. Her English was very poor so she did not seem to understand that was not appropriate. I feel as check out was 10 am we should have been left alone to pack up until that time. It is a shame this happened as up to this time we had had a lovely time.
Other points to note maybe cut some trees back around outside table or move outside table . We were unable to eat outside at this table as the foliage was so low and also seemed a haven for mosquitos.
The service from Only Provence was excellent all very helpful.
Many thanks. I hope this helps .
Mas des voyageurs was a wonderful home from home. After exploring the delights Provence, it was a pleasure and relief to return to the villa each afternoon. The pool was stunning: private and beautiful. The house had every conceivable appliance and equipment which we needed for our week’s stay. The villa was perfectly located. We enjoyed our walk to the nearby boulangerie each morning. The local people were friendly and helpful. The restaurant up the road was an absolute highlight of our visit to Provence. The ladies who showed us around the villa were generous with their time, and did all they could to ensure our comfort.
Areas for improvement:
We did find the absence of toilet paper in the bathrooms annoying. They could at least furnish each toilet with one roll surely? The ladies say they come and do a clean on the Tuesday but no fresh towels were given. All they seemed to do was clean the bathrooms and kitchen. This is fine by I think it should be made clear that the ‘clean’ doesn’t include fresh linen.
Only Provence response: Apologies - the bathroom tissue was an oversight on the part of the cleaner. In most of our properties, the linens are changed weekly unless agreed otherwise. We will note this on the web-page.
Would you recommend Mas des Voyageurs and Only Provence to friends/ family?
I would definitely recommend MdV to anyone visiting Provence. It is a perfect place to tour as well as relax and unwind. I think it would also make a great place to go for a party to celebrate a special occasion as it has plenty of room.
Only Provence were excellent to deal with. Firstly, responsive which is very important and secondly very helpful with questions.
We all very much liked the house. We used both the swimming pools, the indoor one was perfect for the children in the middle of the day to keep them out of the sun. We also used the air conditioned cinema chalet in the garden - again a good place for the children when the sun was strong. It would have been even better if we could have closed some curtains or blinds to make the room darker.
Areas for improvement:
Generally speaking the kitchen was very well equipped with a couple of exceptions - we couldn't find any oven gloves so had to use the only 2 tea towels provided. The maid gave us some more on request when she came in during the week.
There was a local information book in French but nothing in English which was a pity.
I would recommend the house which was very clean and extremely pleasant to live in.
I would also recommend Only Provence - a very efficient and thoughtful company - would book through you again.

Le Paradou is the charming name given to this tiny village situated between the Baux de Provence and Maussane les Alpilles at the foot of the Alpilles mountain range.
Although this village may well ressemble Paradise, the origins of its name Le Paradou are much more down to earth... its name comes from the ancient windmills used by the weavers who lived on the banks of the Arcoule river.
In the middle ages, the village was called St Martin de Castillon (not to be confused with the village in the Vaucluse).
Established at the foot of the fortress, the Baux de Provence, the fate of the village was closely linked to the nobles, the "seigneurs des Baux". Two historic artefacts from this era can be seen today : a surprising hydraulic irrigation system and the remains of a 12th century chateau with crumbling towers and a walled enclosure.
You can also visit an unusual museum displaying more than 400 different santons and 32 scale-models in an area 400 m2. La Petite Provence du Paradou is understood to be one of the biggest creches in the world. This museum merits a detour as you can admire the work of some of the most talented Santon makers in Provence.
Le Paradou is a delightful village filled with beautifully restored houses and colourful gardens. With its narrow, well-maintained streets, brightly painted shutters, restaurants decorated in Provencal style and tempting hand-craft boutiques, Le Paradou is a glorious example of Provence at its best !
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
