Perched on the hillside facing the iconic village of Gordes, Mas de l’Olivier enjoys breathtaking panoramic views over the village and the sweeping landscapes of the Luberon Valley. Blending timeless Provençal charm with modern comfort, this elegant retreat offers a truly privileged location where spectacular panoramas become part of everyday life.
A delightful 10-minute walk along a peaceful pedestrian path leads directly to the heart of Gordes, allowing guests to explore its cobbled streets, boutiques, cafés and renowned weekly market without ever needing the car. Returning home, the spectacular views from the terraces, gardens and pool create a sense of tranquillity that is uniquely Provençal.
Designed for effortless outdoor living, the property features generous terraces, a heated swimming pool, beautifully landscaped gardens and a pétanque court, all positioned to make the most of the remarkable scenery. Whether enjoying breakfast overlooking the valley, spending lazy afternoons by the pool or sharing dinner as the sun sets behind the Luberon, every moment is framed by unforgettable views.
Inside, the beautifully appointed interiors combine authentic Provençal character with refined contemporary touches. Spacious living areas and five comfortable en-suite bedrooms provide an inviting setting for families and friends. Two of the bedrooms are located in separate ground-floor annexes, offering additional privacy while remaining just a few steps through the garden from the main house.
Mas de l’Olivier is an exceptional base from which to experience the very best of Provence, combining the rare luxury of walking to the village with some of the finest panoramic views in the region.
Le Mas de l'Olivier is just a 3-minute drive from the famous hilltop village of Gordes. This location is within easy reach of the villages of the Luberon - Ménerbes, Lacoste, Goult, Bonnieux and Roussillon. Beaumettes and Coustellet, small villages with a variety of shops and small supermarkets, are less than ten minutes by car. The property is also well located for excursions beyond the Luberon. Aix en Provence lies to the south, the Côtes du Rhône wine-producing region to the north, and the villages and restaurants (among them the famed Oustau de Baumanière at Les Baux-de-Provence) of the Alpilles region to the southwest. The historic town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue, once a center of the Provençal silk trade and now home to more than 200 antiques dealers and Provence's best-known open-air market, is the center outside Paris of antiques dealing and a drive of less than 20 minutes.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
