Mas des Agapanthes was recently constructed in 2021, using traditional Provençal design, and exuding the ambiance of an authentic stone home.
The house sits on a beautiful piece of land with private garden and pool, and views overlooking the Alpilles. Guests are able to enjoy a most peaceful holiday while still being able to walk to the famous village of Eygalières in just ten minutes.
The garden is quite expansive for such a village location, with ample areas for adults and children alike to relax, play and enjoy. The salt water pool is long enough for swimming, and can be heated if needed.
The ground floor boasts a large open and bright space containing kitchen, dining and sitting room. The second floor offers three bedrooms with King beds and en suite bathrooms, as well as a children’s bedroom with separate bathroom.
Guests are drawn here not only for the idyllic location in Eygalières, but also the welcoming design of the property as a whole.
Eygalières center is only half a mile from the villa, and is such a wonderfully thriving village, with a butcher, delicatessen, bakery, artisan cheese & ice-cream shops, pharmacy, a local convenience store and on Friday mornings, an authentic outdoor Provençal Market. There are also many excellent restaurants to enjoy; and at the crossroads sits famous Cafe de la Place, where you can enjoy your favorite drink catching up with friends or simply watching the world go by.
In the areas surrounding Eygalières, guests will enjoy cycling, mountain biking, hiking, horse-riding, wine tasting in the numerous vineyards or simply admiring the stunning countryside. Day trips abound from this location as well, with Saint-Rémy-de-Provence a short 10km away; or Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, the Luberon or Arles, to name but a few, reachable in under an hour. Mas des Agapanthes truly offers its guests a most wonderful, quintessential Provençal holiday.
Just at five-minute walk from the charming, but sophisticated village of Eygalières which hosts a number of very good restaurants. Find all of the charm and amenities in the village with butcher, baker, café/ bar and weekly market. The area surrounding the village provides one of the most dramatic landscapes in Provence with the famed Alpilles (hills) adorning the view - an area made famous by the works Vincent Van Gogh.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
