Nestled in the serene hills a short walk away from Cabrières d’Avignon, Aurea is a home where modern comfort meets the unforgettable charm of Provence. Spread across 320 m², the villa offers generous and flowing living spaces. Bathed in light, they open seamlessly onto a lush Mediterranean garden dotted with ancient olive trees and shaded terraces.
Five beautifully appointed bedrooms— two on the ground floor and two above, and a separate studio by the pool —mean space for families or friends to unwind in style. Every bedroom includes air conditioning and many have private access to terraces or balconies, while ensuite bathrooms ensure privacy and ease.
Outside, the centerpiece is a heated pool (13 m × 5.5 m) with sunbathing terraces, plenty of shaded seating, and a tranquil ambiance that feels both private and inviting. A pétanque court, olive groves, and enclosed gardens add an authentic Provençal lifestyle.
Comfort and convenience are never far away: open-plan living and dining rooms, a cinema-style lounge, functional kitchens, modern technologies (fibre internet, Bluetooth audio, air conditioning throughout), and even an electric vehicle charging station.
Adding to its appeal, the villa is within walking distance of the peaceful village of Cabrières d’Avignon, where a handful of local shops and amenities make it easy to stay connected to village life without ever needing the car. Just a short drive away from iconic Luberon villages—Gordes, Oppède, Goult— the property offers peace without compromise on access. Markets, local artisans, lavender fields, and dramatic hilltop views are all within reach, making Villa Aurea both a hideaway and a gateway to Provence’s best.
Villa Aurea is just 12 minutes away from the famous hilltop village of Gordes. This location is within easy reach of the villages of the Luberon - Ménerbes, Lacoste, Goult, Bonnieux and Roussillon. Coustellet, small village with a variety of shops and a supermarket, is less than 2 minutes by car. The property is likewise well located for excursions beyond the Luberon. Aix en Provence lies to the south, the Côte du Rhône wine-producing region to the north, and the villages and restaurants of the Alpilles region to the southwest. The historic town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue once a center of the Provençal silk trade now home to more than 200 antiques dealers, Provence's best-known open-air market, is a drive of less than 20 minutes, it is the center outside Paris of antiques dealing.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
Hiking, Route des Vins, visits of Luberon villages, outdoor local markets.
