Mas de Isa is a newly built house, so beautifully done in traditional Provence design that it exudes the ambiance of an authentic stone home. The house sits on a beautiful piece of land with garden and pool, privately set away from neighbors, which enables guests to enjoy a most peaceful holiday while still being able to walk to the famous village of Eygalières in just five minutes.
From the dining terrace and pool space, the views of the Alpilles mountains are simply stunning. The garden is quite expansive for such a village location, with ample areas for adults and children alike to relax, play and enjoy. There is a wonderful feeling of peace here within the comfortable sitting rooms, modern kitchen, and calming decor of each space. A further panoramic view of Provence with the Mont Ventoux, to the beautiful village of Eygalieres can be enjoyed from the first floor terrace, which is accessible from one of the bedrooms, or from the garden.
The villa has one bedroom located on ground floor, three bedrooms on the first floor and a fifth bedroom in the basement which is perfect for a teen or nanny. All bedrooms offer upmost comfort with private en-suite bathrooms, and either air conditioning or underfloor cooling system.
Guests seem drawn here not only for the idyllic location in Eygalières, but also the welcoming design of the property as a whole. Eygalières center is only half a mile from the villa. It is such a wonderfully thriving village, with a butcher, pharmacy, delicatessen, bakery, artisan cheese & ice-cream shops, a local convenience store and on Friday mornings, an authentic outdoor Provençal Market.
For those wanting to eat out there are many excellent restaurants to enjoy; and at the crossroads sits famous Café de la Place, where you can enjoy your favorite drink catching up with friends or simply watching the world go by. In the areas surrounding Eygalières, guests will enjoy cycling, mountain biking, hiking, horse-riding, wine tasting in the numerous vineyards or simply admiring the stunning countryside.
Day trips abound from this location as well, with Saint-Rémy-de-Provence a short 10km away; or Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, the Luberon or Arles, to name but a few, reachable in under an hour. In all, Mas de Isa truly offers its guests a most wonderful quintessential Provençal holiday.
Mas de Isa is located just a five-minute walk from the charming, but sophisticated village of Eygalières which hosts a number of very good restaurants. Find all of the charm and amenities in the village with butcher, baker, café/ bar and weekly market. The area surrounding the village provides one of the most dramatic landscapes in Provence with the famed Alpilles (hills) adorning the view - an area made famous by the works Vincent Van Gogh.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
