Locale

Maison Jeannons is located in the Gordes countryside, five kilometers from the village and within easy reach of the villages of the Luberon so adored by travel writers - among them Ménerbes, Lacoste, Goult, Bonnieux and Roussillon. Beaumettes and Coustellet, small villages with a variety of shops, are less than ten minutes by car. The property is likewise well located for excursions beyond the Luberon. Aix en Provence lies to the south, the Côtes du Rhône wine-producing region to the north, and the villages and restaurants of the Alpilles region to the southwest. The historic town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue, once a center of the Provençal silk trade and now home to more than 200 antiques dealers and Provence's best-known open-air market, is the center outside Paris of antiques dealing and a drive of less than 15 minutes.

Getting Here

The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
