Mas des Lumières is a beautifully restored 18th-century Provençal estate, ideally located just a 5-minute drive from the village of Villes-sur-Auzon, where you will find a local bakery and restaurants. Set at the foot of Mont Ventoux, the property offers a rare combination of authenticity, privacy and refined comfort in one of Provence’s most unspoiled natural settings.
The estate extends over 15 hectares of diverse landscapes, including meadows, rivers, forests and private walking paths, creating a truly immersive countryside experience. This exceptional environment invites guests to reconnect with nature while enjoying absolute tranquility.
Fully restored with great care, the property retains its historic charm while offering high-end amenities throughout. The ground floor features three elegant and spacious living rooms, perfect for relaxing or entertaining, each designed with a harmonious blend of traditional materials and understated sophistication. The house accommodates up to 12 guests across 6 bedrooms, including one located in an independent annex, offering both comfort and privacy for families or groups of friends.
Outside, the property opens onto generous terraces and a swimming pool area, ideal for long summer days under the Provençal sun. The surrounding landscape, natural and unmanicured, enhances the sense of seclusion and timeless beauty.
Mas des Lumières also offers outstanding leisure facilities, including a true private cinema room, a fully equipped gym, a sauna and a dedicated massage room, creating a unique balance between relaxation, wellness and entertainment.
Perfectly positioned to explore the villages, vineyards and scenery of Provence, this exceptional estate is a peaceful and elegant retreat, where history, nature and modern comfort come together effortlessly.
At the foot of the majestic Mont Ventoux, Villes sur Auzon, a former fortified village, still boasts historical features such as the old Grand Portal, some ancient fountains, and the Church of Saint-André. Its narrow streets and stone facades offer a true journey back in time. Surrounded by vineyards and orchards, it is also an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
