Le Mas de la Sérénité is a beautiful authentic and renovated farmhouse, enjoying incredible views at the foot of Mont Ventoux amongst vineyards and olive groves. It is located within walking distance of Caromb, lovely Provencal village that hosts several shops, boulangeries and restaurants.
Through major renovation work, the property was meticulously transformed into a luxurious haven, whilst preserving the authenticity of the original building. Functional and friendly kitchen with direct access to the terrace and the garden, fireplace lounge, large dining room and snooker room… luxury, elegance, and comfort intertwine seamlessly. In the main house, the 5 ensuite bedrooms are spread over 3 levels (one on the ground floor). The 50sqm master suite is particularly spectacular, enjoying a sublime view of Mont Ventoux. An independent annex hosts the 6th ensuite bedroom. Please note that with two of the bedrooms featuring smaller double beds (140cm), the Mas is best suited for a maximum of 10 adults.
Outside, the charm also operates. The large terrace with shaded dining area extends to the heated Provence stone style swimming pool and its breathtaking views. Besides the swimming pool, there’s an al fresco dining terrace that serves perfectly for “aperitif” or family meals and a terrain de pétanque with a privileged view on the village .
Whether you know Mont Ventoux through its eponymous wine or that infamous climb on the Tour de France, the Mas de la Sérénité is ideally situated to explore the Roman towns of Orange or Carpentras, visit the local vineyards, sample the delicious local cuisine or perhaps even make the ascent to the peak! Avignon, its festivals and le Palais des Papes are also 30 minutes away.
At the foot of the Ventoux, Caromb is a fortified village with one of the largest Romanesque churches in the Vaucluse. Come and discover this lively and charming village. You can stroll through its old streets and discover its medieval-Renaissance style. Here, the vine is king and cohabits with fig and cherry trees, and the activity is mainly agricultural. To walk in Caromb is to cross history. Indeed, the village still preserves many vestiges of its past where it is pleasant to stroll. You will pass under its many porches and vaults of medieval time, on the place of Cabaret where the door of the old castle of the 15th century remains, the fountain of Midas dating from the 18th century, but also in front of its belfry of the 16th century, topped by a very beautiful wrought iron campanile and of which the traces of an old oil mill are always visible at the ground floor of the tower.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
