In the heart of the “Triangle d’Or”, between Gordes and Goult, stands villa Tara. The property is set between the lavender fields and the surrounding vineyards, boasting magnificent views across the Luberon, up to the well-known village of Roussillon.
Completed in 2023, Tara is both stylish and sophisticated. It has been beautifully constructed using the traditional “Bories” stones of the region, and designed and furnished under the owner’s keen eye for detail. Lots of thought and care have gone into the interior decorations, and Villa Tara exudes an atmosphere of harmony and style.
Appointed with the highest quality furniture and equipped to the latest standards, the lounge and adjacent kitchen are to be found on the main level and open up onto the outside terrace and those wonderful views. On the same level, four immaculate ensuite bedrooms feature high-quality finishings, with king-size beds, high ceiling and doors leading onto the terrace. Three of the suites are totally independent and accessed through the main terrace. The whole level is air-conditioned for optimum comfort.
Outside, the dining and seating areas boast beautiful panoramic views of the heated pool and the surrounding countryside. Guests will enjoy alfresco dining and family reunions in a very social yet tranquil atmosphere.
From the pool area, 2 further bedrooms are accessed on the lower-ground floor : an ensuite king-bedroom and a beautifully designed dormitory / cabin for the kids.
While it may be hard to leave the comfort of Villa Tara, it is also an excellent base to explore Provence, with Goult and Gordes within a few minutes’ drive, and with all the major sights within easy driving distance. Villa Tara offers the seclusion of a countryside retreat but is nevertheless only a few minutes away from some of France most gorgeous villages.
Please note that the property might be better suited for a maximum of 10 adults (and 4 children) due to the seating capacity in the lounge.
Villa Tara is less than 10 minutes away from the famous hilltop village of Gordes. This location is within easy reach of the villages of the Lubéron - Ménerbes, Lacoste, Goult, Bonnieux and Roussillon. Beaumettes and Coustellet, small villages with a variety of shops and small supermarkets, are less than ten minutes by car. The property is likewise well located for excursions beyond the Luberon. Aix en Provence lies to the south, the Côte du Rhône wine-producing region to the north, and the villages and restaurants of the Alpilles region to the southwest. The historic town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue, once a center of the Provençal silk trade and now home to more than 200 antiques dealers and Provence's best-known open-air market, is the center outside Paris of antiques dealing and a drive of less than 20 minutes.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
