Le Mas des Princes is just two kilometres away from Gordes and less than 15 minutes’ drive away from other most beautiful villages of Provence such as Bonnieux, Ménerbes, Roussillon and Oppède. This magnificient restored silkworm farm boasts 7 ensuite bedrooms, ideal for retreats or extended family gathering. Mas des Princes, with its stone walls, exposed beams and terracotta floors, combines the Provencal art of living with modern comforts.
This exceptional spacious property with refined decoration is fully air conditioned and can accommodate up to 14 people. The living area is vast and bright with an outstanding bay window opening onto the garden and the comfortable bedrooms are spread across multiple levels.
Outside, with olive groves and majestic pinewood, Mas des Princes is a heartfelt ode to Provence. The heated 15m x 5m pool is surrounded by a large terrace with many sun loungers and umbrellas. A ping pong table, a terrain de pétanque (boules), a basketball hoop and a punching bag ensure plenty of activities for everyone. With its harmonious blend of natural beauty and recreational amenities, this garden is a quintessential retreat.
Mas des Princes is the perfect base for a memorable getaway in an idyllic location while enjoying the region.
Le Mas des Princes is just 4 minutes away from the famous hilltop village of Gordes. This location is within easy reach of the villages of the Luberon - Ménerbes, Lacoste, Goult, Bonnieux and Roussillon. Beaumettes and Coustellet, small villages with a variety of shops and small supermarkets, are less than ten minutes by car. The property is also well located for excursions beyond the Luberon. Aix en Provence lies to the south, the Côtes du Rhône wine-producing region to the north, and the villages and restaurants (among them the famed Oustau de Baumanière at Les Baux-de-Provence) of the Alpilles region to the southwest. The historic town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue, once a center of the Provençal silk trade and now home to more than 200 antiques dealers and Provence's best-known open-air market, is the center outside Paris of antiques dealing and a drive of less than 20 minutes.
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
