This wonderful villa is full of local character but is exceedingly well equipped for a perfect family or multigenerational stay. We have visited several times. The pool is large and kept very well, the kitchen boasts a huge range of gadgets, the bikes and the tennis court are always popular as is the entertainment room. It is short stroll to Eygaliere where there are some good restaurants and a great market on a Friday.

This is a magical place. Beauty everywhere you look with a pool and tennis courts plus lots of bikes and a wonderful gardener who adjusted them for us. We could easily walk into town and every morning someone rode a bike in and brought back pastries. The market in Eygalieres was fantastic as well as Chez Paulette (restaurant). We had stayed at the house with friends twelve years ago and were determined to bring our family there. Being there was a dream come true. Covid delayed us two years but that gave us two years of anticipation and being back in that beautiful place was worth the wait.

The villa is exceptional and we had a wonderful time there. Coming from Singapore with a few friends for a week in Provence to celebrate 20 years together we were looking for a magical place. The Mas is such a place. There is everything you could think of -- with a level of detail and charm that's hard to imagine. The photos on the website don't do justice to the beauty of the place, far from it. I wish we'd had two weeks, or more!

We loved that the grounds were so big and still felt safe. Having the studios in the garden gave our guests privacy which was lovely. The house felt like a 5 star hotel. The accommodation is stunning - it is extremely well appointed and literally has everything that could reasonably be required. The housekeeper (Josephine) and the gardener (Nicholas) were both exceptional and incredibly helpful and ensured that the holiday ran smoothly. The only point that should be noted is the lack of a guest WC on the ground floor of the house. The only usable toilet at that level is within one of the guest suites which is not ideal when we had guests. The quality of accommodation and service exceeded our expectations in every way.

Everything was just perfect. I can honestly say that there were no surprises when we got there - it was exactly as we had found it on the internet (maybe even better!!), and the location of the house - close enough to walk about ten minutes into town but also on the edge of the natural park area to let us feel as if we were far away from everyone - was ideal. The house itself is just beautiful - the uniform decoration throughout gives a welcoming and warm feeling, and there were lots of areas to go to if one wanted to be alone, but also many areas where one could congregate to enjoy a meal or a drink, boules or table tennis (although the Mistral would have blown away the balls had we played!). The village is charming. It has everyone you could ever need - a boulangerie, boucher, picerie, pharmacie, fromagerie, a little newspaper shop and delightful restaurants and outdoor bars. The Friday market added just that special touch for us and for our guests. All of the shop owners and the market vendors could not have been more friendly and helpful. And daily we made our walk up the hill to the old ruins and the most fabulous views out over the olive tree-studded landscape and Les Alpilles, in order to keep in shape and to drink in the vistas. When we wanted to discover other villages or locations, we found that nothing was too far away for us - a half hour in this direction or an hour in that one and we were in a whole new world of beauty and history. An ideal location from which to explore the charm of Provence.

Wonderful house! The appointments were first class. The gardens, the pool, the tennis court were also fantastic. After a busy week of touring Paris, Mas d’Eygalieres was a perfect place to relax. Very private yet close enough to a very charming village. We also enjoyed taking the mountain bikes up into the Parc des Alpilles which is right at your doorstep. Josephine was delightful as well, very attentive and helpful! She cooked us a wonderful meal of white fish and Ratatouille, just delicious. Also, we had a wonderful gourmet meal prepared by Chef Yvan, saffron foam over roasted legumes, pan roasted Cobia over a delicate ravioli d’aubergines, amazing! There was a little confusion the first day with the keys for the bikes and the tennis lights, but Josephine and Jonathan figured it all out.

We wish to thank you and the owners of Le Mas d'Eygalieres for a truly wonderful stay from 5 - 12 April. The property far exceeded our expectations and we were blown away by the care, love and attention the owners have poured into it. It is truly one of the most amazing properties we have stayed at anywhere around the world. The villa is better appointed than most people's homes! Absolutely love the kitchen and the abundance of cookware, crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen, etc. It was a pleasure just to be able to choose the table setting each night! We were appreciative of the daily attendance by Mdm. Josephine, the housekeeper and the gardener. The scale and detail of the property certainly required them to be there to keep it ticking along! Thoroughly enjoyed the chefs Gerald (who delivered our first night's dinner and made sure we were competent to serve it ourselves) and Ronald who was an absolute star! Beautiful food, charming and professional chefs. Our walk around Gordes with Lucy Holmes was lovely. I think it was the only activity we thought was a little bit overpriced for the experience. There is a bit more to guided walking than just the walking. The ones we have done before have been with guides who are walking encyclopedias of the local flora, fauna and geography as well as history of course. This is what you pay for that you cannot get from guidebooks. We thought Lucy was slightly lacking in this regard. Please pass our compliments and thanks to the owners. Getting Here

The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.

Arrival:
Typical changeover day is Saturday, unless stated in the property overview – please inquire for an alternative arrival day.

Minimum Stay:
Most properties require a 1-week minimum stay - please inquire about shorter or flexible stays outside the summer months.

Services Included:
Final cleaning and any additional maid service listed on the web page.

Making your reservation:
These properties are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, before you reserve, you are required to review and sign a rental agreement for the villa (the“Rental Agreement”) within 48 hours of booking. We will send you the Rental Agreement via Docusign. The Rental Agreement explains in detail all of terms and conditions regarding the rental and use of the property in detail. We shall have no obligation to accept any reservations, unless the Rental Agreement is fully executed.

Payment:
After you have signed the Rental Agreement and filled out the appropriate information, as approved by us, a nonrefundable payment of 30%* of the Rental Fee (which price is defined in your Rental Agreement) must be received by us within five (5) days to confirm the reservation. The remaining 70% of the Rental Fee is due 60 days before the arrival date, and is also non-refundable. If reservations are made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date, then 100% of the Rental Fee must be paid upon the signing of the Rental Agreement. Please know that a failure to pay any portion of the Rental Fee as set forth above and in Rental Agreement can result in loss of the reservation of the villa and a termination of the Rental Agreement. We will confirm receipt of each payment and note any outstanding balance and due date(s).

Cancellation:
Only Provence has a no refund cancellation policy, unless specifically agreed with the owner. Should the Renter wish to postpone their stay, every effort will be made to offer them the possibility to reschedule at an alternative date, pending permission from the property owner. Failure to pay the final balance (which is due 60 days before arrival) or provide required information for the security deposit may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due. Clients are advised to consider Trip Cancellation Insurance with the carrier of their choice at the time of confirmation.
