I can't say enough good things about Only Provence and the ecosystem they've curated. From the selection process through to planning surrounding services (in-house chefs, wine tours, bicycle rental), every person I worked with was thoughtful and responsive. Most importantly, there were so many homes to choose from that were spectacular, it made it difficult to choose. With that, my Only Provence contact, Kelly, guided me through both the homes available as well as the towns and locations our group would best align with based on what we wanted to see/do. Having Kelly walk through it all with me was crucial and gained my trust. When I arrived at the house, I was even more impressed, which is exactly what you want! I was nervous taking on the task of arranging a house rental for a group of lifelong friends, and after this experience, they were already asking for me to plan the next one on the flight back home! Words cannot express my gratitude and thanks to Only Provence. Would highly recommend!

I was expecting our stay at the Maison des Promesses to be lovely given the photos on the Only Province site and the location, but it far exceeded my and my guests' expectations in so many ways. The house is luxurious and extremely elegant, but has been decorated to create an atmosphere of immense warmth and welcome in every room, nook and cranny. There are numerous wonderful outdoor seating areas that enabled us to make the most of the spectacular 360 views and the sunshine as the sun moves over the property during the course of the day, culminating in the glorious sunsets from the coin de l'apéro and the main dining terrasse. The pool is huge and we enjoyed the lovely dining area at one end close to the summer kitchen for our lazy lunches and the comfortable shady seating at the other for an afternoon rosé. The gardens are beautifully designed and immaculately tended and the extensive grounds meant we felt we had complete privacy. Eygalières is a very short walk away so we could pick up daily supplies from the boulangerie and just soak up the wonderfully quiet Provençale village life, which has a surprising numbers of cafés and restaurants given the size of the village. Market days in Eygalières and in Saint-Remy de Provence were also definitely worth a visit. I must also mention Soria, who manages the house, and who is lovely, welcoming and friendly and offered many suggestions of things to do places to visit in the area, but was also wonderfully unobtrusive, so the house would be restored to its clean tidy order every morning almost as though your fairy godmother had been. An absolutely idyllic stay all round. I really can't recommend highly enough. Thank you to all at Only Provence from me and all my guests.

We are 4 couples who used Only Provence 7 years ago and now just finished up our 2nd time around! Our experiences both times exceeded our expectations. Villas and Only Provence were superb If we could do this every year. We would. Our only complaint— how about Tuscany and Sicily.

Only Provence were absolutely key in finding and organising our holiday. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Booking a property through them gives you the reassurance that you are in safe hands and that the property will be just the right fit for you. We received incredible service from Rachel every step of the way. We have stayed in many lovely houses in Provence over the years and without hesitation we would say that our stay at Maison des Promesses has been undoubtedly the best. The location is truly spectacular with far reaching 360’ views, taking in the medieval skyline of the village with its church and clocktower, the rolling Hills with Mt. Ventoux on the horizon and the dramatic rocks of Les Baux. The sunsets are mesmerising. The grounds surrounding the house are just amazing, beautifully landscaped with olive trees and vines growing in abundance. The pool is the grandest we have experienced and there is of course that all important perfectly positioned Boule court which sits in the shade of some mightily impressive pine trees. We cannot fault the house in any way, comfortable, spacious, elegant with an air of calm. Every bedroom is gorgeous and comes with an en suite - so no fights over who gets the best one! The house is well placed on the edge of the village of Eygaliere - a 5 minute walk way. This was important to us. A small note. The walk takes in an up and over hill, which may be a bit hard for some. Not for us and the joy of popping in for croissants or a bite to eat was just what we wanted. All in all this was our dream holiday; the house, location, everything. Finally Soria the house manager - well everyone should have her in their lives. She’s a gem and will make anyones stay, seamless and stress free which is just what all holidays should be. Thank you very much.

Overview

Offering wonderful views of the village and the Alpilles, Mas des Promesses6 is a fabulous renovation on a private estate, within 10 minutes’ walking distance of the historic village of Eygalières.

Lawns, mature landscaping and terraces surround the stone house in this vast property sleeping up to 12 people (maximum of 10 adults) and offering quiet places in the sun or shade to read, tan and relax.

On the ground floor, there is an open kitchen and dining area, a living room and two en-suite bedrooms with A/C. Upstairs we find a large en-suite bedroom with A/C. Going down one level from the ground floor, there are 3 more en-suite bedrooms with A/C and direct access to the terraces at the garden level.- one of which is has 4 single beds for children. The Laundry room and wine cellar are found on the garden level as well.

An oversized pool is surrounded by lawns and trees for shade. The pool house is just steps away, for a cool drink or light meal in the garden.

Getting Here

The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.

Terms and Conditions Overview

Arrival:
Typical changeover day is Saturday, unless stated in the property overview – please inquire for an alternative arrival day.

Minimum Stay:
Most properties require a 1-week minimum stay - please inquire about shorter or flexible stays outside the summer months.

Services Included:
Final cleaning and any additional maid service listed on the web page.

Making your reservation:
These properties are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, before you reserve, you are required to review and sign a rental agreement for the villa (the“Rental Agreement”) within 48 hours of booking. We will send you the Rental Agreement via Docusign. The Rental Agreement explains in detail all of terms and conditions regarding the rental and use of the property in detail. We shall have no obligation to accept any reservations, unless the Rental Agreement is fully executed.

Payment:
After you have signed the Rental Agreement and filled out the appropriate information, as approved by us, a nonrefundable payment of 30%* of the Rental Fee (which price is defined in your Rental Agreement) must be received by us within five (5) days to confirm the reservation. The remaining 70% of the Rental Fee is due 60 days before the arrival date, and is also non-refundable. If reservations are made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date, then 100% of the Rental Fee must be paid upon the signing of the Rental Agreement. Please know that a failure to pay any portion of the Rental Fee as set forth above and in Rental Agreement can result in loss of the reservation of the villa and a termination of the Rental Agreement. We will confirm receipt of each payment and note any outstanding balance and due date(s).

Cancellation:
Only Provence has a no refund cancellation policy, unless specifically agreed with the owner. Should the Renter wish to postpone their stay, every effort will be made to offer them the possibility to reschedule at an alternative date, pending permission from the property owner. Failure to pay the final balance (which is due 60 days before arrival) or provide required information for the security deposit may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due. Clients are advised to consider Trip Cancellation Insurance with the carrier of their choice at the time of confirmation.
