Outstanding location, property, grounds and facilities. An absolute pleasure to stay there. We've done a number of 'villa holidays' across Europe and this was the best experience we've ever had. There were 8 in our group; 4 couples across two generations and three continents and every single one of us marked this as a 10/10 experience. Myriam was a star - we were lucky enough to have a fluent French speaker among us which made it easier - and her comms before we arrived and during our stay were first rate. The rooms were lovely, the design aesthetic was excellent and clearly the product of a single vision, the facilities from the wifi to the frying pans and everything between were a joy to find and use. We'd love to come back in 2027 but I think my wife now wants to move to the Luberon which might scupper the booking!! Say hi to the owners - we love what they've done to the place and so many little touches were noticed and appreciated. Merci beaucoup a tous!

Overall we really enjoyed our 2 weeks stay with family and friends in the villa. Location is very good. Close to many small beautiful towns and villages. Villa is spacious and offers good comofort for up to 8-10 people. Villa is located on a huge plot, you have a stunning views and total privacy. Big pool was nice as well. Unfortunately we could not use tennis court because it was soaked up and muddy + the surface was not even - making it hard to play. Pots and pans in the kitchen a bit old and not good for usage. We really missed a plancha or grill in the garden. Cleaning services should also be better. Would we come back? Maybe. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your two weeks at Mas du Fournil and thankful for your helpful feedback. We are aware that the sprinkler system was momentarily disrupted, watering parts of the tennis court. However, we are glad to confirm this was resolved in a timely manner during your stay. Your other points have been passed onto the owner and are being addressed. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

The location of the villa is exceptional - directly in the middle of three wonderful lavender fields in the middle of the Luberon valley. Perfect view on Lacoste and partly on Bonnieux. The garden is fantastic offering many places to sit, relax and enjoy the vistas.

This Villa has the potential to be magnificent. More attention is needed on cleanliness and preparation of the villa for guests. I recommend providing minimal amenities like better towels, toilet paper, and nice lavender soaps from the region to make the villa more inviting. Only Provence Response: We are sorry to hear that you were not pleased with the level of cleanliness and amenities available at the property. Unlimited household and kitchen supplies are provided at Mas de Fournil, but should you require any more toiletries, the Property Manager is always happy to assist. Do not hesitate to contact the Property Manager or the OP Ground Support team next time, for any assistance you may require during your stay.

Our first-ever experience with Only Provence has been an excellent one. As Brits, we were nervous about using a US company we had never heard of, but early support and their subsequent professionalism means we would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them. Mas du Fournil is a grand scale property with superb views to Lacoste and Bonnieux. We would come again at the drop of a hat!

Mas du Fournil is a very nice, spacious house with nice views. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. There is a beautiful living room with good sofas and plenty of seats. The kitchen is also very spacious and almost all the necessary things are there. The pool is great. The garden is nice. Myriam the housekeeper is a very nice person. We have been here twice and both times we enjoyed our stay. The house is also close to the bike path which is very nice and fairly flat.

Another fantastic experience with this high quality company. From the first contact with Stanley to the final check out our holiday - despite this crazy times of “new normal”- this was a perfect holiday. All our needs were perfectly met. With 6 adults, a four month old baby and a 6 month puppy that was not going to be easy. The house layout was perfect, the bedrooms comfortable and well appointed with effective air con. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything the chefs who cooked for us needed. The sitting room was spacious but also cosy, and adjacent to the kitchen so meal preparation was a family affair. The table in the courtyard was perfect for a cool shady lunches and the main outside table was perfectly appointed for breakfast and dinner. This is the second time we have used Only Provence and I did not think they could improve on our previous experience, but they did. This was our first holiday with our granddaughter and we wanted it to be perfect. It was! Thank you Stanley.

We would recommend Only Provence to friends or family and the villa met our expectations. We loved our stay at the villa. It is a beautiful place that was perfect for our group. It is conveniently located to some of the best bicycling in the world. The pool cover sometimes did not work. Our chef was spectacular. The food was creative and delicious, and he was very personable in his interaction with our group. He clearly loves what he does, and that came through clearly in his meals. Thank you!

The house was fantastic and the location was perfect Areas for improvement: The tennis court - the lines are pieces of metal which you can trip over - not ideal. The cleaners turned up at 8.30am on the day we were leaving which we felt was not very appropriate as we did not have to leave before 10am. We would definitely recommend the house.

Great flow of house, well-suited to extended family. Could be together in large living room, then spread out separately at different times. First experience of salt-water pool - softer and kinder than chlorine. But a frivolous detail - yet much taken by gentle colour of pool. Lovely open and quiet outlook onto lavender fields and beyond. Tennis court used mornings and evenings. Bicycles in house great for spontaneous galavants. Chef Gerald's meal of a high standard / absolutely delicious. Made for highly successful evening. Only Provence's most efficient set-up and level of communication before and throughout stay, feels like a trusted friend one returns to. Many thanks for our wonderful holiday.

John‚ and the Only Provence team, thanks for yet another incredible trip to Provence. This is our fourth property rental with your company and, as anticipated, it was a remarkable experience. We arrived with a fantastically stocked fridge after a late Saturday arrival in Marseille. The home was beautiful, as per usual, and the grounds (where we spent so much time) rewarded the eyes with views of lavender in early bloom, cherry trees with ripe fruit, olive groves, plane trees, a small vineyard and the castle of Lacoste (illuminated at night !). And it’s not just the particular property that one rents, it’s the experience and knowing that one is going to be looked after, time and again. We will be back with you and your team.

Overview

This fully renovated farmhouse exudes the absolute best of Provence – an historic stone home, surrounded by lavender, vineyards, olive and cherry trees, in the middle of the stunning valley of the Luberon Mountains. The setting here is certain to take your breath away. And set just below the village of Bonnieux, it’s difficult to imagine a more idyllic location.

Numerous terraces provide varied comfortable areas for taking in these scenes throughout the day, and a large pool and private tennis court offer endless activity for guests as well. The exterior views are complimented by open interior spaces, with a generous sitting room set adjacent to the large kitchen on the south side of the ground floor. The remainder of this floor is dedicated to a sizable dining room, indoor gym space and bedroom.

The upper level of the home has the remaining four bedrooms, all quite spacious, and with lovely views overlooking the gardens. The feelings of open space and authenticity here create a most welcome retreat for groups of families or friends of all ages.

No matter what route you take to Bonnieux, you will see the church tower well before you arrive. At a height of 425m, the tower dominates the countryside and the surroundings of this magnificent village, situated in the Luberon. Bonnieux - Church Built on a plateau above the valley, Bonnieux is one of the finest villages in the area. The houses spread out on the hill-side form a striking harmony of earth-toned colours and shapes. Some superb residences dating back to the 16th, 17th, and 18th century serve as a reminder that Bonnieux was a wealthy village when this region, the Comtat Venaissin, belonged to the Popes. Several bishops also chose to live here and as you wander through the village streets you will no doubt marvel at the architecture and history on display. After having climbed 86 stone steps to the "Vieille Eglise" and the old cedar trees,you will discover a beautiful view of the Monts du Vaucluse, and the villages of Gordes and Roussillon. You can also admire the vast plains planted with grape vines (Côtes du Luberon), lavender, cereals and fruit trees - just as the impressionists painted them! Don't leave Bonnieux without visiting the Boulangerie Musueum where you will see a collection of bread and learn plenty about its history and manufacture. Bonnieux has some excellent restaurants, complete with charming terraces.

Getting Here

The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseille International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV (high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV (3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Paris Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.

Terms and Conditions Overview

Arrival:
Typical changeover day is Saturday, unless stated in the property overview – please inquire for an alternative arrival day.

Minimum Stay:
Most properties require a 1-week minimum stay - please inquire about shorter or flexible stays outside the summer months.

Services Included:
Final cleaning and any additional maid service listed on the web page.

Making your reservation:
These properties are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, before you reserve, you are required to review and sign a rental agreement for the villa (the“Rental Agreement”) within 48 hours of booking. We will send you the Rental Agreement via Docusign. The Rental Agreement explains in detail all of terms and conditions regarding the rental and use of the property in detail. We shall have no obligation to accept any reservations, unless the Rental Agreement is fully executed.

Payment:
After you have signed the Rental Agreement and filled out the appropriate information, as approved by us, a nonrefundable payment of 30%* of the Rental Fee (which price is defined in your Rental Agreement) must be received by us within five (5) days to confirm the reservation. The remaining 70% of the Rental Fee is due 60 days before the arrival date, and is also non-refundable. If reservations are made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date, then 100% of the Rental Fee must be paid upon the signing of the Rental Agreement. Please know that a failure to pay any portion of the Rental Fee as set forth above and in Rental Agreement can result in loss of the reservation of the villa and a termination of the Rental Agreement. We will confirm receipt of each payment and note any outstanding balance and due date(s).

Cancellation:
Only Provence has a no refund cancellation policy, unless specifically agreed with the owner. Should the Renter wish to postpone their stay, every effort will be made to offer them the possibility to reschedule at an alternative date, pending permission from the property owner. Failure to pay the final balance (which is due 60 days before arrival) or provide required information for the security deposit may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due. Clients are advised to consider Trip Cancellation Insurance with the carrier of their choice at the time of confirmation.
